Well theoretically you could use the same old way we did it for years with isopropyl and a q tip. Or you could try ebay to get a first generation or second generation nes cleaner pack

SOURCE: Nintendo NES Repair

Hi sounds like your console has a weak connector pin and is lsing contact with your game. I fixed mine buy purchasing a new connector pin from www.gameoz.com.au and it included step by step instructions with photos and a few tips on how to clean NES cartridge games as their is no use in installing a new 72 pin connector if you dont properly clean the NES games because installing dirty games into a new connector pin will result in console blinking flashing again.

YOU CAN NOT PUT NINTENDO 64 GAMES INTO SNES or NES SLOTS. The retro duo is snes (super nintendo entertainment system) and nes (nintendo entertainment system) only there is not spot for the nintendo 64.

CLEAN NES CONTROL DECK

Well to clean out the super NeS console you need to open it up with a 4.5mm bit tool and use compressed Air cans then to clean them out. Lukie games sells a 4.5 mm game bit tool.

Console blinks when game is loaded

Hi there, here's a fix that may help, I've done it on quite a few NES and all have started working. Basically the pins that connect to the cartridge have been pushed flat over time so your not getting a clean connection.

I have changed the pin connector on my nes, it does not flash anymore but now i get a blank screen can someone help me?

First try connecting through the av ports on the side of the console rather than the RF port on the rear of the unit.

If that doesn't work then your problem is likely a loose connection inside, go back in and reassemble.

I have had this issue with several consoles; these two solutions usually take care of it, though in rare cases a defective 72 pin connector was at fault even though it was brand new.

Good luck.

How to fix my nintendo (NES) without replacing anything

Yes, this is a 72 pin connector problem. The connector has become dirty or oxidized and needs replacing or cleaning. Problem can usually be solved by buying a NES console Pin cleaner which inserts like a game. The "Eliminator" is one which works great wet or dry to eliminate this problem.

Nes Nintendo Channel Trouble

are you using a/v (audio/video cables with rca ends), or direct to cable input on t v.? if direct to t v, did you check ch switch on back of system deck? otherwise is t v programmed for the correct INPUT. T V, AV1. AV2. OR AV3? ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH OLD NES IS YOU MUST CLEAN THE GAME EVERYTIME YOU INSERT IT. TO CLEAN MIX ALCOHOL/WATER 1-1 AND USE QTIP. RUN IT UP AND DOWN BOTH SIDES OF CONTACTS. IT WILL DRY RIGHTAWAY.
