Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
From your description, I don't believe the it should be on the band. It is more likely inside of one of the earpieces.

Your power brick might be faulty. Unplug everything, wait 10 minutes and then plug it all back in. You can also try connecting your X1's USB jack to a nearby PC or laptop to see if that helps. As a last solution, you could just get a USB power adapter like Turtle Beach sells for the X1:
This will let you plug in your X1's power directly to an electrical outlet.

SOURCE: Hi, recently my turtle beach
Depending on console you may have to go into your accessory option. Find your Audio input option IE Bluetooth, or Turtle Beach, Or USB headset type options. For the PS3 these are the steps.
At main Page go to Settings
audio device settings
here is where you will decide to choose input and output devices.
also if you have the HDMI setting on your console you have to make sure to also select the Multi out as well,. Meaning you can have both active, so you have your TV and or Stereo surround plus the headphones.. Hope this helps you out.. Happy Gaming

SOURCE: how to repair a turtle
Never thought i would see a problem i have come across :)
Now this requires very precise soldering and cable management as each wire is tiny.
Use a multimetre to find out what wire connects to what part of each connector.
However i still think the easier way is to just get a new wire off ebay.
