SOURCE: I am installing a dishwasher.

If you have a volt/ohm meter you can check for Power on the Blue wire. Or you can open the face of your fuse box and look to make sure the Blue wire is connected to the fuse. If it is, just hook up your Black from dishwasher to the blue from house. White to White ( Neutral). There is no real way to ground the dishwasher if your house wiring is a 2 wire (old) system. You shouldn't have a shock hazard if the wires are in the junction box for the dishwasher.

SOURCE: new install; where to hook up old wiring/plug to ASKO

There should be an installers/repair guide folded up behind the front panel. Check for that as it will show a wireing diagram. I won't be able to get any info until Jan 2. Let me know what you find.

SOURCE: We purchased a white Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner need it black

You can purchase door panels to replace the existing one to match your other appliances. The part number for a BLACK panel is W10073200. The cheapest I found the panel listed was appliancepartspros.com for about $96. Only you can decide whether or not the cost is too much. I hope this helps you.

Both the motors for my Defy Twinmaid 920 is not working, the replacement motors has black, green and red wires while the original motor has black, blue and white wires, how do I match the wires?

Black is universal. I would substitute the green and red wires for blue and white. Also notice the location that the original wires are coming from and then match the location up with that on the new motor wires.

How can I change the electrical connection? It has four wires. One white, one black, one green and one red. Where do I connect them?

On the back of the dryer where the plug wires in you'll see 3 screws. The white and green wires go together in the middle. look at the left and right screws and you'll see wires connecting to them from inside the dryer. just match the wires, put the black on the black and the red on the red.

There are cut wires and no cord for the second hand dishwasher i purchased and I need to find out what wires I am connecting and where

There should be a small junction box under the dishwasher behind the front toe panel. There should be three wires:

BLACK - HOT (120VAC)
WHITE - NEUTRAL (0 VAC)
GREEN - GROUND

You can purchase a three conductor power cord from any hardware store. A 3-prong power tool power cord works the best, as they have a durable outer sheathing and have good current handling properties.

Simply match the corresponding colors (black to black, white to white) and ground the green wire to the chassis. There should be a ground lug somewhere to connect it to.

Use wire lugs when splicing wires together and use the wire strain relief (if equipped) on the junction box. The strain relief is located at the point where the wire enters the junction box and keeps the wires from inadvertently being pulled.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

The power cord on my Whirlpool washing machine is not connected. There are 4 cables (red, black, white, and green). I can see where the black, white, and red, but where does the green one go? There is...

The following link explains how to correctly install a power cord on your dryer:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575913-installing_a_220_vac_appliance_cord

The main difference between the 3-wire and 4-wire configuration is how the Neutral (WHITE) wire and Ground (GREEN or BARE COPPER) wire are terminated on the terminal block in the back of the dryer:

- In a 4-wire configuration, these two wires are INDEPENDENT of each other and are terminated separately.

Terminate the wires at the terminal block by matching the corresponding colors:

RED to RED (HOT) 120VAC
BLACK to BLACK (HOT) 120VAC
WHITE to WHITE (Neutral) 0VAC
GREEN (Ground) - attached to a ground lug that grounds it to the equipment cabinet.

Black and red go to the outside terminals, white goes to the middle, and green goes to the frame of the machine.  You can look up at the wires coming down to the plug terminal and match up the colors.  Your ground is green and goes to the frame of the machine.  Green is the wire that is supposed to pop the breaker and prevent you from getting shocked so make sure you hook it up to the frame.
