Question about Keyboards & Mice
As soon as i connect my usb mouse to my laptop,It detects it as unknown device.
Between home and work, I have multiple computers and numerous mice.
I've tried switching them around to get around this problem. I only
have this problem on my laptop that
runs VISTA. All my pre-Vista machines are truly plug-and-play with all
my mice. Disk with software is only needed to use enhanced features and
program the extra buttons on the mice. Even my new Microsoft mouse
won't work with Vista.I don't want to knock Vista, I like every other
feature of it I've used so far, but this unknown USB error ir really
hampering my productivity.

Did you install the CD software program that came with your mouse?
If you did and it gave you the unknown device, Then disconnect the mouse receiver from the USB port and reinstall the software program from the CD.
Then if that doesn't work try the following.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the smallrest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it toReset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then pressthe mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries orglitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
