How to get a visio 22inch led flat sreen to play through a surround sound home theater?

Hello
Connect the audio out of the TV to Audio In to your surround sound reciever. If your TV and Audio amp has digital inputs, [HDMI]; you can connect them with an HDMI cable, and select the input of the amp to HDMI. You haven't given sufficient information for both your TV and amp. Ie, its model number, Brand hname of the amp etc. If so, I might have give you more details about its connection proceedings. OK.

How do you enable the pioneer plasma pdp ro6fe HDMI settings? My HDMI input options do not currently allow selection & adustment

just plug in the HDMI cable from what ever equipment your using, then switch it on, put the other end into the back of the tv, take out any scart cables you have plugged in, just for now.
then find your AV source button on your remote, press it until it says HDMI.
the chances are,if it flickers or wont show, then you'll need to hook up the external equipment by scart cable & go into the picture settings & change it to a lower rez. (The tv wont be the problem)
i can't help you any more because you haven't said what it is your trying to do or hook up.....SKY BOX, DVD PLAYER, GAMES CONSOLE...e.t.c.
Or what make of TV it is.....

Hi: Hi i have the epson mate 30's which i bought

Greetings ps81 - Your projector as you suspect does not have an HDMI input.

Unfortunately the Boxee only has an HDMI connector for video. You will have to get an HDMI to Component video adapter like this one HERE. (I'm not suggesting this particular one, just showing you what you need to get).

Once you get the adapter you will also plug an optical audio cable from the Boxee to your Epson (to get 5.1 surround sound) and you'll be up and running.

Enjoy all your new media!

Hi, please could you advise me on how to wire up a Denon AVR-1910 amp with my 3D blu-ray player, as it will not allow a 3D signal through it but will allow a non 3D blu-ray to play. At the moment i have a...

There really isn't a way not while maintaining the full quality of the audio. I solution though would be HDMI to the TV and then the composite audio out ( red and white) down to the amp on it's on input of your choosing. BUT you will lose a substantial amount of audio quality. Now if you have a RARE TV with a HDMI out then you could just run the same setup but replace the composite cable with the HDMI out. Then you'd have minimal loss.

I have a pioneer vsx-30 with hdcp error on the face i see it when a scientific atlantic cable box is connected through a componet connection

Component cables don't have the ability to carry decrypted HD info.

HDCP is "High Definition Copy Protection"...In theory, it prevents you from running the HDMI cable out of your receiver, and into a recording device, thereby recording HD content without a license for it.

HDCP handshaking is done between devices that run HDMI, or DVI.

If you're running component from your Cable box, and then HDMI out to your TV, then the content you're carrying from the Cable box may not be getting decrypted properly when it gets upscaled onto the HDMI port from Component.

IT could also simply be that you're using an HDMI 1.1 or HDMI 1.2 cable, which may not be able to carry the high bandwidth stream of your Receiver and TV.

Please be sure that all HDMI devices can support the same HDMI version, and also be sure your HDMI cable is labled "HDMI 1.x compliant". . .e.g. if your TV and Amp support HDMI 1.2, make sure you're also using an HDMI 1.2 Cable.

My Onkyo S7300 receiver doesn't work, it makes choppy sound why it turns on

this may be the HDMI heat issue i've found with these amps. the issued is caused by the heat produced by the 5V voltage regulator under the HDMI board. once the sound starts to get choppy and or cutting out sometimes with a loud boom. the only way to get around is by installing a fan. First try using a 12V 4Inch fan place it directly on top of the amp cover over the HDMI board use a good Power adapter so the fan runs fast. Now IF it works! I suggest you install a Internal fan I have attached the picture for you to follow. the fan will not be as loud because the supply will be only 6 Volts. NOW TO AVOID THIS ISSUE FROM HAPPENING AGAIN TURN OFF THE HDMI CONTROL UNDER THE HARDWARE OPTIONS. HDMI PASSTRU IS THE MAIN ISSUE HERE. the regulator sits there for hours cooking that board. it's why half of Onkyo HDMI capacitors and regulators die out.Be careful do this at your own risk. High Voltage inside this amp. good luck.mvianna_0.jpg
