If the stove eye stay on all the time that means the switch contacts are welded together inside the switch itself.

316418305 broiler element and bake element will not heat

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire range, model# FEF336BC, broiler and bake element not heating. I would give your range a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

Turn your oven on and if the elements are still not heating, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose your appliance. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-

The dryer still runs and the drum is turning. No heat. Yesterday I did notice the outside of the dryer got very hot for a while.

The thermal cut-off has blown open due to the high-limit thermostat failure to cycle off in order to regulate the heating element temperature as the noticed extreme dryer temperature indicates. These two components are wired in series with the heating element as a safety measure to cut power to the element should the dryer temperature go extremely high like your case.

Disconnect power then make sure the lint filter is clear, the vent system is not restricted, and the inside of the cabinet is clean. A vacuum cleaner may be used to extract lint built up inside the dryer cabinet particularly the bottom. Replacing both the thermal cut-off and the high-limit thermostat is a must but only after the all areas mentioned are cleaned.

Oven does not heat

This clicking sound.. If it is coming from the control panel area could be indicative of a relay that is malfunctioning.
For giggles try the oven on just broil. See if the upper element comes on and stays on, or if it too shuts down.
If it stays on then you most likely have a bad control board.
If it shuts off like the bake element and does not come back on, I would carefully inspect your power cord and cord connections as well as the range outlet.
Good luck!

I have kitchen aid in the counter range, the bottom heat element is bad. The element has burnt and has a 3" piece that has separated. At the same time the oven stopped working the burners stopped working...

The oven element will not affect the top burners, Unless it tripped the breaker at the panel when the element burned it two. Is there power to the stove? The top burners have their own power and control separate.

Maybe wiring short or control board malfunction. You may need to ohm it out.

Does it clear after you cycle the power? - or just stays heating away?

Oven will not shut off broiler element stays on

The control knob more than likely operates a relay that has gotten stuck in the energized position. If this isn't the case then the Temp sensor or thermostat probably shorted internally. Unplug the unit before attempting any work.

Burners won't stay heated

if you are using the range to do general ever day cooking then if the units are cutting of you could have and infinate control that is bad cutting the element off before the temp heats up the element, you also could have an element sensor that is turning off the element before it gets to the temp that you are wanting.
a volt meter and a wiring diagram is a must to find out what is wrong

Hot surface indicator

The component that controls the hot surface light is part of the element. If there is a light for each element you just replace that element. If there's one for the whole surface or each side you'll have to figure out which element is causing the problem.
