SOURCE: Cerwin Vega V-35 Horns Drivers Model TMH-1

first you need a multimeter set to OHM , check on the back of the horn , remove the leads and do some reading , it should read 4 , 8 , 16 ohms depending of the brand , if you get no reading its means that need to be replaced , some horns you can detach the back (magnet w/the coil ) so you can replace it without buying the whole unit . good luck

SOURCE: what size box do i need for a cerwin vega v124

Hi there, If can you give me an average dimension of your trunk your installing it in. And Ported - Sealed is really based on what you are trying to achieve in the vehicle. Ported in my opinion sounds better in cars with an enclosed trunk where as a sealed subwoofer plays better in a hatchback vehicle where the car itself acts as a second box.

SOURCE: I need fuses for my cerwin vega re 38 speakers

Should be 2.5 amp SLOW BLOW fuses. Not at home, but mine have a label near the fuse holder showing 2.5. Important to get the slow blow. I get mine at Radio Shack in a multipack (amp underwpowered, blow them often)

it's a 2.5Amp Slow Blow 2AG fuse..

Most electronics stores stock fuses..also to being a 2AG fuse they are exactly the same as the old auto fuses and thus most auto stores carry them in stock aswell..

but remember.....Fuses blow for a reason
and NEVER put a bigger fuse in!!!. try and find the fault....unless he has just cranked it too much :-)

hope this helps!,ben

What is the voltage and wattage of the Cerwin Vega E-715 speaker fuse?

Speaker fuses are rated in Amps. If you cant find the specs on your speaker via google, (I couldn't find anything on the fuse.) start with a 2 Amp 'slow-blow' fuse. That should work at low to medium volumes. If you find it blows at low volumes, move up to a 4 or 5 Amp fuse. E-715 is a big speaker, (handles 400W!) so starting at 2 amps should be pretty safe.

Is the cerwin vega 3200 MPLIFIER SUPOSE TO BE CONNECTED TO ELECTRICITY?

your amp requires a 12volt power wire from the battery, a negative wire grounded to the car body, a remote wire that connects to the radio or fuse box, rca jacks from the radio, and speaker wires from amp to speakers. hope this helps. please rate 4 thumbs up.

You have several ranges of options.

1) Contact Cerwin-Vega customer service: http://www.cerwin-vega.com/

2) Do a google search on "cerwin vega speaker replacement". You will find companies both that offer repair or repair kits (e.g., www.simplyspeakers.com) or sell replacements. Contact them - they have the expertise to tell you which of their products are most suitable for your model.

I recently purchased a denon av surround re- ceiver avr-2805,and a set of cerwin-vega LS-15, (separetly). When playing a cd though my dvd player, at around 0.0dB and up the fuses will blow in both speakers...

Depending on the wattage of the amp to the wattage off the speakers depends on what to use and how to control them..If your speakers are rated for more power than the amp can produce it will blow the fuses just as if the amp is rated for more than the speakers it will blow the fuse..Those type of speakers do need a good supply of power to run and speaker wire size could play an important part of that.If wire supply is to small it will over heat the coil in speakers and also blow the fuse...Look in side of the boxes to see what kind of capacitors they have on the speakers or there size to insure correct for speakers them selves..Also look at all of the wire routling in the amp to insure proper installation..Hope this helps you..Have a great day
