Error Code F26

although of course it doesn't list that error code and panasonic no longer support the model on their site except for the user manual. If you don't mind paying $19.50, then these guys have the service manual available which almost certainly will list the error codes and their solutions;

Sorry I had no luck finding that one for free.

My guess is that the lens needs cleaning, and that the error code simply means "bad disc" or something similar.

Best way to clean the lens is with a cotton bud/ Q-Tip moistened (not wet) with gin - nothing else works as well or as safely. This should be easy to do as you have direct access to the lens, just be gentle.

If you get no luck from that then the best i can suggest is to contact panasonic direct;
