Question about Moen 3175 Legend One Handle Shower Faucet With trol Pressure Balancing Valve....
Whoever installed the handle stripped the allen screw head. Now I cannot remove the handle to take out the cartridge. Any suggestions on how to get the handle off?

SOURCE: I have a Moen Faucet
If the allen screw will not turn I would put an allen wrench into it and lightly tap it a few times with a hammer, the smaller the better. If the allen screw is stripped I would get a set of easy outs from the Home Depot or other store and use the smallest one to ease the screw out. An easy out works in reverse to the threads in order to get the screw to back out of the hole.
