Question about Microsoft Windows Media Player
Ive had wmp for a while and i cant remember the last time the audio worked. the dvd plays perfectly, but no audio. all of my other audio works (i tunes, sound effects, etc.). i have a realtek ac 97 audio device with windows xp. i've gone through the audio troubleshooting a dozen times, and it doesnt work. you guys are awesome. i hope you can help me. thank you!
Sounds like you're lacking an audio codec, likely AC3 Try installing this one - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/AC3_Filter.htm
If not, you may want to try some other codecs or just use realplayer or vlc media player
