Quickset 911 Series lock, need battery pack

I have a broken battery holder, the plastic is a type that glue & epoxy don't adhere to, and the design is propitiatory to this device. Quickset don't even show a parts breakdown on their site. I need help in location a source for this part. The alarm company that supplied it says it is only available as the complete lock. I this is true, noone should ever buy one of these. The battery pack is flimsy, and easily broken.

SOURCE: I installed new Quickset locksets

Hello,
You want to loosen and take out the screws and remove the key side of the door handle and turn it 180 degrees and reinstall it. Now when you do this you will have to rotate the tang 180 degrees also so the inside lines up. The tang is that little bar that runs the length of the door handle.

Sand the area on bottom of piece along with areas surrounding the broken piece. Get another small piece of plastic that is large enough to cover the broken piece and adjacent areas and apply the glue to that using a good epoxy for adhesion. Let it set up and it will hold - trust me.

My problem is with a tyco Shellshocker, One of the plastic plates that holds the legs on has cracked and then broke off, is there anywhere I can get a replacement part or anywhere I can take it to be...

It is a very poor design with even poorer quality plastic. In other words, planned obsalescence. It's tough to tell that to a kid (or accept it myself) so I bought some 2 part epoxy made especially for plastic. It comes in a dual syringe to allow you to mix what you need and cures stiff in 5 minutes (24 hours until hard). Don't get the one that mixes as it dispenses, because you might need to repair in phases. Take it apart to the point where you can see the broken pieces, mix the epoxy and apply liberally around the crack and "feather" up the sides. Make sure you do not get glue on any moving parts or in a place that will prevent reassembly. Mine works great, now.

I HAVE LOST THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT FITS IN THE END OF THE ROTATING WAND WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACE MENT DON

Nelson does not sell it. You have to buy a arm kit for $15.00. Buy some 5 minute J-B Weld epoxy available at any parts house or hardware store. Mix some up & stick the tube in to it 4-5 times til you think it is at least 3/8 in deep in the end. Wipe off the outside & let it dry. Find a drill bit that just slides into the other arm that still has a tip. Drill a hole in the epoxy to match. That should solve the problem for 2 bucks. While you still have wet epoxy you may want to smear a little on the remaining tip to adhere it to the tube so it doesn't blow out next. Good luck.

My washer lid switch is not broken but i cannot screw the screws into the holes on the switch because the plastic that surrounds the screws is broke. what should i do?

If you still have enough surface area to work with, you can repair the plastic where the screws go with two part epoxy. You can get it in a package that looks like a big double barreled syringe. Take the switch right out, cut a piece of plastic from a plastic lid or something similar to fit, and glue it on with the epoxy. When it is dry, drill two very small holes where the screws are supposed to go, and reinstall it. It will probably outlast the machine. (do not try to fix it with crazy glue or anything like that. You need the thickness of the epoxy)

Where can I get battery power pack(shell with recharchable batteries inside) for metz 45 cl series, good second hand, off market brand,or even geniune brand, thank you

I have a lot of old 45-40 Series Metz 45 NiCd battery packs, that I will eventually rebuild with new NiCd batteries. I got them from Photographic Trader magazine and from ebay. I've heard that NiCd cells are going out of production, in favour of NiMH cells. I've found it's easier to put NiCd or NiMH cells in the alkaline battery holder, the flash recycle time is only slightly longer. I charge them separately out of the holder, or in the holder with a connector I made. NiMH cells need a suitable charger, with peak detection, as NiMH cells don't like being overcharged.

Tool is cracked, is it PVC or another type of plastic

I dont know what kind of plastic these sanders are made of. Your best bet is just to try a strong 2 part epoxy. If the epoxy doesn't bond then you should be able to just scrape the glue off and try something else.
