So many manual settings done be the customer, will make the main system IC to be confused. Make a reset [Factory] to the set, and try.
The microprocessor of the set must be resetted to tis factory settings, if the unit fails to operate properly. To reset the set, turn the ignition switch OFF. Press the RESET at the front panel of the device with a ball pen tip of or other pointed instrument. The set must come to its factory alingment, and must work properly. If not, the memory IC of the device is faulty and should be replaced with same type and number. It is really a very skilled work, and must be done either by any well experienced technition or by the authorise service center for Pioneer at your town.
The memory IC is one with 8 solder terminals and won't cost more. Eventhough it is a very small component, it controls all the other functions and keep it in its memory locations, what awe do with front panel or remote control handset. it keeps the functions as we enter, and retains them in its memory locataions, and retrive it to the main system control IC to process, and keeps it in its memory locations, when we switch OFF the set. All the store memory will be retained to the amin system IC, as we switch the set ON each time. This is a general fault to most of the Pioneer sets. OK.
