Hey There,Were you already able to solve your problem?
Since I'm assuming you're downloading something legal, i'll help :D
If you're using a mac you have to select the File you're downloading and right click it. then go on "properties". Now you'll see some links in a box on top. just click below those links and paste this:

As a windows user you can just double click the file you're downloading and paste those links below the already existing links.
Now Utorrent will look in more locations for seeders and will speed up your torrent.
Don't forget Uploading is illegal. Downloading is too depending on where you live.

SOURCE: URL Filter Configuration

Ok, sounds to me like the security settings on your laptop for the wireless network card are configured in HIGH safety mode. The easiest way to resolve this is to:

1. goto control panel (start - settings - control panel)
2. open network connections
3. right click and select PROPERTIES on your wireless network connection
4. click on tcp ip (interent properties) double click it
5. goto advanced button (lower right hand side)
6. options tab
6. goto properties button for ip filter
7 uncheck (if checked) Enable ip filtering

that should fix ya up.

SOURCE: how to format acer aspire 4710 with xp

actually there is no need to touch anything in hardware please do not touch ur hardware without any reason i know what eactly is the solution is now follow this :

Problem : When Windows XP was made there was no concept of SATA drives now ur drive is SATA and ur installation disc does not contain drivers for ur Hard disk thats why it is unable to find ur hard disk as it doesnt recognize it u need sata raid drivers on ur windows inst cd

Solution:

this specific model Aspire 4710 was shipped with vista OS and drivers now u are downgrading it to XP it depends on the installation disc if it is new one like SP3 included then u would have never faced this issue in ur case u should get a RAID driver from www.intel.com and then include them in ur copy of windows XP cd to load them at the startup of installation , so u need them in the first place to carry out installation, u have to do some job here download RAID DRIVERS from www.intel.com select ur board and chipset Mobile Intel® 945GM Express download SATA RAID DRIVERS and then download nlite a software used to integrate these drivers to ur inst disk , u can also include SP3 thru this software in ur current win xp cd

http://www.nliteos.com/

just download sata drivers from intel and nlite from the link and install the software integrate these drivers and burn ur cd incl them and then install normally as u were installing them earlier now it will recognize ur drive simple for more info how to do check this out

Slow download speed

Hi Mimi,
If you haven't checked to make sure your computer is free of malware, sometimes it can slow down your internet downloads. Here are a few programs I'd suggest you install and run:
  • ESET Online Scanner (scans from the web, will take a while)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (download and install)
  • Malwarebytes (download and install)

ESET will scan your computer this one time, and may take an hour or more. SAS and MWB will reside on your computer and can be run every couple weeks. Make sure you always run the updates before you scan with them. There are always a lot of things that can effect your Internet download speed.
Malware infection is just one of the common things that effects Internet Speed. Let us know a little more, like... did your connection recently slow down (used to be lot faster)? Is your computer slow overall? Or did this just start?

Got utorrent and down loaded ipv6 ,download speed very very slow disabled ipv6 and uninstalled utorrent and re installed utorrent and tryed other torrent downloaders all say ipv6 installed ,done the...

With utorrent you have to go into the options menu at the top right, then click preferences....once in there click on 'Connection'. The information window to the right has some changes you need to make....the first one where it says 'Port used for incoming connections'...change that to 64450 (you can use any random number over a certain range I generally choose one between 62000-64999). Now right below that, make sure the check box 'Add Windows Firewall exception' is checked. Now click 'Ok' and close the program then go and try to download your torrent.

(If you are using a 3rd party firewall program you will need to go in and enter an exception for utorrent manually)

UTorrent Speed Problem

It's a "configuration" option.

But, there are "diminishing returns" -- adding more seeds won't make your downloads any faster.

Compare it to a 4-lane highway -- when there's the "right" amount of traffic, all 4 lanes move quickly.
When there is "too-many" vehicles, traffic slows down, even though the width of the highway (equivalently, the speed of your Internet connection) has not changed.

Make sure that your port is open on your router to allow the connections. This setting is under the options in the software. You can follow this from the site to walk you through:

http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/connection-setup

That will allow you to connect to more peers. Also, make sure you have more seeders in the swarm. Good luck!

I have my laptop connected through cable but suddenly the upload is slowere than dial up. Is it a defect in the laptop or the service from the cable company.????

hi , go to www.speedtest.net and do a free online speed test , If it comes up with a slow speed it could be your service providers connected even more people to your line (upto 50) which will make things slow at times , it also could be the signs of a virus or trojan , these programs steal your bandwidth to help them on there evil ways overloading other peoples websites ,if it comes up good then i suggest you investigate different download sites ,some sites havnt got the funds to let you download at vast speeds or if its peer 2 peer then it will be slow anyway. Try googling "torrent " sites and a client program called utorrent , then google " the piratebay",, good luck
