My kenmore elite elecctric dryer is running but I get no heat

The most likely cause, is a burned out heating element. Sears has the replacement pparts. You will need the model and serial numbers. The replacement is relatively easy. Disconnect the power and then from the back, take out the screws that hold the element housing in place. Depending on the model, you will also have to pop the top to get the unit out.

Dryer runs but wont heat

There are 2 possibilities for this problem.
1. The limit switch is out. The limit switch is located on the heating element on the back of the dryer. This is a small button type part. it will have 2 prongs on it for 2 wires that slide on for power.
2. The heating element is out. This will be on the back of the dryer and depending the model it should be a long metal piece that has metal elements inside of it to heat the dryer. or it could be a large round unit. these can be tested with an om meter.

The limit switch will be the cheapest to start with on replacing.
If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to ask. I will need the make, model, and the serial number of the unit to help you further. the model and serial number can be found by opening the dryer door and looking by the hings. there should be a sticker with this information on it.

My kenmore dryer model number 110.66752501 and serial number mt1920859 is no longer heating. All other functions seem to work.

You most likely need a new heating element. If you are mechanically inclined you can test and replace your self however this job is about a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10. If you feel comfortable doing it I will do my best to walk you through it if not I would suggest calling a service tech.

I have a 80 series Kenmore dryer, runs heat. Help!!!

Your heating element is burnt out or a high limit switch has gone bad. I suspect that the element is out since it is hard to blow a high limit switch. To access the element you will need to remove the back of the dryer and in the bottom left hand corner there should be a box, or tube, that contains this element. It looks like a toaster element. To see if the element is bad you will need to run a continuity test or visually inspect this coil for any breaks. If there is a break you need to take the model and serial numbers to an appliance parts house for replacement.

Good luck on repairs hope this helped you some

No heat in my kenmore elite dryer, model 11085872401(electric)everything else running, tested voltage at 240 ok. pulled the heating element. it looks like a small crack in the middle. Does that have any...

It means your element needs to be replaced, take it to the Kenmore parts store nearest you, and they will confirm that, and you can get a new one there unless they have to order one in.
Be sure to have the make and model and serial number of your dryer with you.

Kenmore dryers are manufactured by Whirlpool. In many cases the part numbers are identical between model numbers. Look at the dimensions of the heating element and compare part numbers. Chances are, the parts are identical.

Kenmore dryer will not heat

only 2 things can be wrong, the heater element is toast or one of the safety thermostats is fried, most likely it is the heating element. make sure its well connected(while unplugged!!!)
