For programs installations you would have to manually change, redirect or point the program folder locations to the Lenovo disk ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc). For all other personal documents, image files, music files, video files you would have to do the same thing, go that programs (whichever program you use) options or preferences and edit the default file save locations to point to the Lenovo ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc) instead of your C:/ drive

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Is the 'D' drive the cd/dvd drive? If so, try cds or dvds of different types to see what works. Some cd units won't read a dvd. A little light should come on if the drive is trying to read. No light, drive is dead.

Lenovo Ideapad Y510 c drive full but d drive shows as empty

The cursor jump is probably because your arm or part of your hand is getting close to the touchpad.
I have the same problem.
You can toggle touchpad support by holding down the 'Fn' key and hitting 'F8'. (Fn+F8)
Don't forget to turn it back on when you want to move the mouse.

In regards to "local disk c:" being full. It sounds like your drive is partitioned into two logical drives.
You can use two methods in gaining space on C:.
The first option would be to move some of your documents from the C: partition to D:. (If you continue to save all of your files to C:, it will become full again.)
The second would be to re-size your C: partition using a tool such as "Partition Magic" in order to allocate some of the unused space on D: to C:. (This may take some time to complete. Make sure you are connected to AC power, you do not want your computer to go to standby or hibernate while changing partition sizes.)

Hope this helps.
