Sayo makes the best IC's, don't just settle for the cheap ones. I have see this ic for as low as $5.00 on the internet.
I would also advise that the convergence IC’s be OEM or better, just because they are cheap does not mean that they are a good deal. I have seen the cheap IC’s fail after a short time, even though they look exactly like the OEM IC’s. I think that the bottom line is that you will get what you pay for when it comes to the parts.
You can try http://www.tvrepairkits.com/ they do carry OEM or better parts.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.
If you need further assistance please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

Yes, it can be repaired, replace convergence out chips (two ICs) on main board.
If you are not comfortable with TV repair or have no experience, call local tech to fix it. Cost of repair would be $180 or so.

The problem is common to Mitsubishi projection TVs. Technicians dubbed it as the "blinking green light of death" due to its notoriety.
Here's the basic troubleshooting of the said problem.
Same thing with the power supply. You can check the filter capacitors for this kind of problem.
Please let me know if you decide to do the repair yourself and need the guidance to do it.
