My PowerShot A70, which we bought years back (in 2003), suddenly won't show any images on the display screen. It just shows grainy purple and pink lines. When you take a picture, what you get is the purple lines and not what the camrea was focused on. I don't know what happened but I miss my camera. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is probably a CCD failure. I had the same problem and it was fixed for free. Go to the Canon website and you will find info on returning for free repair. Check out the following website: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro...

No Fix - New camera time
Do contact Canon Tech support,
But I feel this is a firmware problem and there is not a fix.
