My water outlet was frozen and wouldn't let the water through. Turn the fridge off and let it thaw out if this is the case. Regards, Phil, Brisbane Australia

you don't say whether this is a top mount freezer side by side or what but the most common problem is a blocked defrost drain. you'll have to locate this drain and clean it out. this drain is located underneath evaporator coils in the freezer. every day the refrigerator defrosts and water runs out the drain into a pan in the bottom of the refrigerator where is evaporates.
also make sure you don't have a pin hole or other leak in an ice maker line .

Sorry to read about your problem. you can have many different problems.
Your unit should at lest run if low on freon. since you have a complete failure, you could have the following
1. Bad temp control
2. Failing compressor
3. Defective start cap
4. Defective overload protector
5. Defective control board
I suggest you call a service company.
I have tried to help you. Please help me, by Vote/Rate my response. Thanks.

Check the water solonoid on the lower right side facing the rear of the unit. the water line connects to it. sounds like it might be defective.
