SOURCE: T-23 Refrigerator quit cooling.

Look in the back see if that compressor is running. It is balck kinda ball shaped. It pumps freon so to make the refrigerator cold. If it runs but do not get cold then it needs freon.

SOURCE: The cooler will not cycle

Inside of the unit on the right side of the coil. You may need a little mirror to see it easier. There is a metal plate with a little v cut to indicate where the setpoint is and the knob should have numbers from 1 to 9. The typical setting is 5.

SOURCE: I have a True refrigerator

Hi,
You will need to find out why the unit is not shutting down properly....
It may be that the thermostat sensor will need to be placed in a different spot...or the temperature may just need to be raised higher...
Does the thermostat turn off the unit if the temperature is raised??? If so, then place a thermometer in the cooler and then adjust the thermostat to 38F by that thermometer and not by the t-stat calibration, it may be off even if it is new...

If the t-stat is not cycling the unit then you will need to use an electrical meter to trace out the power to the unit and find out why it is not shutting down...

I have a true upright commercial display refrigerator.I think the tempature control is faulty. It freezez everything,I use it for beer and wine.I have cleaned the condensor and still no luck.No matter what...

it is just a temp control, look real good at the control and see if you can see any holes in it that might have a small screw that can be turned. Maybe an in and out, you may be able to adjust it this way. let me know.

The cooler will not cycle off when temp is reached. Just keeps running and becomes a freezer instead of a refrigerator. Where is the thermostat adjustment locatd on a True Model T-23

The thermostat is probably stuck closed and bad. A good replacement would be a Ranco A12-1560. If its not the thermostat there may be a stuck relay on newer modes coolers.

turn thermostat all the way to the left to turn it off. restore power and see if it stays on and inside fan is running. Then turn thermostat to rite to turn on compressor. If the power trips when turning thermostat back on, the compressor may be bad. :(
