Question about HTC Cell Phones
I connected my HTC One V phone to a computer and a virus was transferred which corrupted the memory of the mobile that i cant see anything on the phone from computer but its still working good and i can browse folders from mobile's applications. What will happen if i formatted the memory of the phone? Will i lose all applications or it is in a separate area of the memory from that i can see especially that the phone is 4 GB memory and i can access only 1 GB from computer.
Back up your information to Google drive via a wireless connection or wifi and then restore the phone to factory default. Once the phone is reset then pull the information back from google drive. After the back up make sure to delete the Google account off the phone before reset or Google 2 step verification could lock you out.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

try this: *2667*3855#
this will full reset your phone. everything that was downloaded will be gone. I hope this will do it. if not, your phone needs a new software flash

I had the same problem and I tried everything. I couldn't think of anything else to do so I just turned my phone off and back on again. When I went back to the memory card menu on my phone all the folders that I lost re-appeared. I don't know if it would work on other phones but it's worth a try!
