I bought a Quasar camcorder in 1993 and the battery no longer charges. Where can I purchase a new battery?

its more than likley your sensor on your teli. try your menu to see if there is a manual or a remote setting that you can change.

I bought a charger, one with multiple ends, to fit my Canan ZR200, it will power on, but it doesnt show that the battery is charging, also purchased new battteries


have a look at what the volts and amps are set for, if there to low it wont charge your batterys up as all the power is used up just in running the camcorder

Camera shuts off after a few seconds


To find this information you will have to either go to the Panasonic customer support website and enter your Camcorder model number and check out the frequently asked questions to see if they have already asked this question and have a answer in the form. the website is (http://www.panasonic.com). you can call the customer support telephone number at 1-800-211-7262. Between the hours of 9am-7pm EST. You can also use the customer support e-mail at www.consumerproducts@panasonic.com Give them the Brand name and model number of the Camcorder. Explain to them that you are having problems with the Camcorder not staying power on. They will be able to help with troubleshooting the problem and getting it repaired.I Hope this information helps you with your camcorder problem.

It could need a new battery.  The battery can't hold a charge in it anymore.

Shuts off


It sounds like the battery is flat - I realise that you've probably already thought of this, and charged up the battery, however batteries have a finite life and number of charge cycles they can go through, and may appear to be fully charge (According to the charger, at any rate), but they are unable to hold any decent charge. My suggestion would be to head down to the local camera shop, and ask if you can try a new battery in-store.

Had the same thing happen to me. Went out and bought a new battery and it, too, does not charge. Apparently something messed up with the in-camera charging system. It will charge for several minutes (charge light illuminated) and then the charge light goes dark. Battery gage shows that there is virtually no time left on either battery (old or new). Anyone have any ideas other than a trip back to Sony?
