SOURCE: Honeywell Compact Quick Heat Ceramic heater with tilt feature - HZ 325

Your prob is their is a thermostatic solinode that is trigger the unit to go off--because it thinks itself as too hot and unsafe to be on--this trigger was defective or damaged by disuse and/or fatigue------give it a shake-- better yet, when cool and unplugged-vacuum or blow out with compressed air-with out disturbing integrity of workmanship on device--if that no worky--time for new one---thermostatic element is dirty, device being of differing Mghz than outlet, if fairly new device--amperage of outlet is too small for device to work properly. If it is a 240 volt or a 120 volt device and your attempiting to use the wrong voltage outlet--STOP USING THE DEVICE

Problem: firs let's identify the problem, there is a sensor on the inside panel, made originally for safety if you tipped the heater off, it kill the power causing it to turn off...after a year of so that sensor get a little rusty/dirty causing it not to work correctly...

let's find out how to fix that annoying turn off..

tool needed, a phillip screw driver.. electrical tape or soldering unit..

fixing it: take out the top and bottom screws, to open the panel. after you open the panel you'll see a metal bar screwed to the front controller...take all 6 screws out...the front panel comes off....then there is about 4 screws holding an inner box, open that up..
inside there, you;ll see lots of wires...look for 2 small blue wire running together to a black sensor that make noise everytime you move it....

disabling the sensor
------------------------------
2 ways you can do this..

-you can cut the wire off using a scissor, and connect the blue wires together, use the tape to tape them.
or

- you can solder them together on the back of sensor panel...

there you go problem solved...

Model hz709 manual

Was there any physical damage to the heater when it fell over?

The HZ-709 has safety features that might prevent its subsequent operation.
1 - It has a tip over switch but the heater should operate normally when it's upright again.
2 - A thermal cut-off fuse will permanently shut down the heater should it operate at a higher than normal temperature. Was it operating when it fell over, or could it have overheated?

If it's none of those, try contacting the manufacturer Kaz directly by email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. as the HZ-709 has a 3-year warranty.

My Honeywell HZ 709 WMT stopped working. I've had it for about a year now and has been great up to this point. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. I am not sure the cause but I was reading that some manufacturers will put automatic shut off switches in the electronics. I read that it was mainly printers and faxes but I wonder if that could hold true here as well?

Honeywell HZ-709 oil filled radiator heater-all controlls work but no heat produced. Possible reason?? Thanks

There is a bottom element and a top element so the elements could be dead.

More likey, there could be no power coming from the wall - there are switches on the front that need to light up or the thermostat could be set to off.

Is there a seperate control for the timer and temp? If so, turn the temp off first and then the timer.I think they need each other for safety.

Honeywell heater turns off after 3 min. Never comes back on

It sounds like the temperature sensor has either failed or come loose and is sitting too close to the heating coil. Alternatively, the level-sensor, which shuts off the heater when it is tilted, may be malfunctioning.
If the heater is not sitting level, it will also shut itself off.
In any case, if it is under warranty, return to the manufacturer. If it isn't, a local appliance repair shop should be able to isolate the problem.
