Question about Heating & Cooling
My ac is ok if I take out the thermosat and use the jumper wire to jump start I jump the Red to geen the indoor fan on, red to yellow the cool on and then red to white the heat on. But when I put back the thermosat, the thermosat burn out right away, so what is the problem,I already put in two new thermosat.
You have two of your t-stat wires that are shorted out. Disconnect the wires at both the unit and t-stat. Take two wires at a time and ohm them out. If you have continuity those are the shorted wires. Substitute them for two different colored wires if you have two wires that are currently unused. If not you will need to pull new wire. Please answer back to say if this works or not.

Tips for a great answer:
Aug 30, 2014 | Honeywell RTH3100C - Digital Heat Pump...
"PLACE A JUMPER (PIECE OF WIRE) BETWEEN Y AND W IF YOU ARE USING A HEAT PUMP WITHOUT AUXILIARY/BACKUP HEAT." if this dosnt work check the fuse in the air handler you may have blown it if you did not turn the unit off before installing.
