Hp pavilion all in one AMD goes to sleep after 1 minute idle then asks for password to open up.. how to extend idle time to 2 hours

What you are experiencing isn't "sleep" mode, it is the screen saver. If you have WINXP, right click on a clear area of the desktop, and select "Properties". When the DISPLAY PROPERTIES window appears, select the "screen saver" tab. Change the "WAIT" time to the time you wish the scrren saver to delay. If you don't want to have to login after a screen time out, uncheck the "On resume, display Welcome Screen" box.

If I leave my laptop idle for a few minutes, it reverts to music and adds from Toshiba. How do I prevent this?

Hi,
It sounds to me like it's going to Toshiba screen saver. Right click on your desk top, go into properties and select screen saver. You can either disable it or choose a different one. You can also do this via the control panel.

Want font larger (currently very small) and in white color (current color is blue) when phone is closed (NOKIA 6085)

The only thing you can change is the screen saver for the "mini display" - Settings, Mini Display, Screen Saver, then choose "Digital Clock" - when the screen saver kicks in you'll see the time in nice large numbers.

The mini display is monochrome so you can't change the color.

Screensaver not working

In Windows XP, right click on your desktop somewhere, and choose Properties. On the Screen Saver tab, pick another Screen Saver from the drop down, and set the Wait time to 1 minute. Click OK and see if it works. You may have to drill into "Settings" next to the screen saver. Depending on your hardware, the 3D screen saver might be too much for it to handle. Try disabling some things in settings or choosing a different Screen Saver.
Hope this helps! If so, please give a rating!

Full screen probs with netflix

This has nothing to do with Netflix, you would get the same result with any DVD regardless of its origin. Chances are that is the laptop trying to revert to a screen saver or power save mode during the movie.

Check your laptop's power and screen saver settings. If you are experiencing the problem every 3 minutes or so, your screen saver is most likely scheduled to go on after 3 minutes of inactivity. The same goes for your monitor-- it may try to dim or turn off after a certain amount of time.

To change these settings to a longer delay, go to your desktop and right click. Select "Properties". Choose the "screen saver" tab, and change the "wait:" field to a higher number. Or, just turn the screen saver off by selecting "(none)" under the screen saver dropbox. You may also click "Power" and change the time for "turn off monitor" to "never", or a longer amount of time.

I am running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and am suspecting Norton System Works 2008 is causing my screen saver to not work properly. It seems to only work on certain time settings like 1...

well..you can turn off Norton for a little while..adjust the settings on your screen saver, and then turn norton on again..it's most likely in the settings on Norton, where it's not allowing a screen change..sees it as a possible invasion.
