I have a 28 ton Huskee log splitter with a honda engine that isnt gettin gas even though there is gas in it. What do i do to get it running?

Find out why it is getting no gas!

First check the tank, does really have gas in it? Use a dipstick.

Check the fuel tap. Remove the gas line, does gas come from the tank? Re-attach the line.

Remove the gas line from the carburettor, does gas come from the pipe? Re-attach.

If the fuel is getting that far, then it has to be the float stuck in the carb. Give it a sharp tap with the handle of a hammer.

Still no gas? How do you know? Remove the spark plug, is the plug wet or dry? If it is wet, you have gas to the engine, but it won't start. That could be dirty or wet plugs, or an electrical fault to the ignition system. We can go on from there, when you have done all the above.

My log splitter wont stay running, gas getting to carb and thats as far as it goes. It does start ann runs till primer is empty. The splitter is 2 yrs old. Can you help please?

I suspect that the main jet in the carby is blocked
It could be that the needle in the carby is stuck closed
There could be water in the carby
I would pull the carby and have it overhauled / cleaned out

I have a honda gc190 motor in my Husky 28 ton log splitter everytime I start it it pours fuel from the carborator does anyone know why

The needle valve and float are stuck inside carburetor. You will have to remove the fuel bowl under carburetor and see if there is something keeping the needle valve from seating. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

What type of motor oil do I use in my Huskee 22 ton log splitter?

If you are using it mainly at 30 degrees or above I would use straight 30 weight non-detergent oil.If you use it at lower temperatures then I would use 10w-30.That's what I run in mine and it's running great after 16 years. Thank you.
