Re: Insignia 27" tv - zapped - now flashes menu
Try to unplug it from the AC outlet and wait a couple of minutes to plug it back in. The zapped might have damage the main board.
If your TV is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty.

Both power supplies are supplying the same voltages to the circuits but in order to use the one from the NS-27LCD 27" you will need to change the wiring configurations to make it work for the LCT2715..
I could repair the power supply from the LCT2715 for under $90.00 including parts, labor and shipping it back to you.
Let me know if you require further assistance.
Very well could be the circuit board. What you describe is VERY common in newer tv's. The company says this supposedly this will be fixed
in the new firmware they claim will be sent out soon. The only way you shouldn't experience it, is if I hook nothing to the HDMI input.
My solution is: You have entered a diagnostic color test. With the TV powered on, hold
the 'Menu' & 'Enter' together, then press the power button.
this to happened to me with my insignia 27", I stumbled on the fix by accident...first unplug the tv and wait for 10 minutes, next just press the power button for 10 to 15 seconds and then put the plug back in and power it on (keep pressing the power button without releasing til it is on) then you should be able to use the menu and all other buttons manually....you may have to repeat this again.
