Keeps shutting down and takes several trys to start again only to shut down later

If the computer is overheating it will shut down to save the hardware from heat damage, the temp is pre set. It may get hot, due to air flow in a minute or and hour. What does the "screen comes up says problem " say? Check the fan and vents for dust and clean, improve air flow around bottom vents and side vents. Perhaps a Laptop Cooler? When the computer shuts down unepectedly, the computer see it as a crash and will load in that option screen. Run a 'Check Disk" on the OS drive buy opening computer in start menu, right click the drive with the OS (C), open properties, Tools, Check now, choose all options, follow instructions, reboot.

My laptop keeps shutting itself down. The fan is running. The computer comes back on. It is sitting on a grill table so there is plenty of air for it. What should I do?

Try booting to safe mode by pressing F8 button while computer is turning on, in this mode you will be able to isolate the problem if this is a hardware or software issue. if system still turns off automatically while inside safe mode it means that it is already a hardware component issue. though fan is spinning and system may have plenty of air, your system might still be experiencing a fan issue. It doesnt mattert if the fan is spinning, what matters most is if the system can see that the fan works fine because if not - automatically system shuts itself off for safety purposes. Fan needs to be replaced if system still turns off while in safe mode. otherwise perform system restore if system works fine inside safe mode. by this step you'll be able to revert the setting sof your computer back to the day before the problem occured.
To perform system restore just click on start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore> you may need to choose dates on the list that the computer will provide you about the date you may go back with. Restart computer after the process.

If you need to ask more about the issue, please feel free to ask.

My comp hang on "windows is now shutting down" screen

Try disconnecting the D-Link Wireless modem, maybe some networking log off is making trouble ...
If not, go into safe mode... And try removing some newly installed applications, they could be making a fuss...
Hard shutting down your PC doesn't create this kind of problem, so don't worry about that...
Tell me if you have solved anything
