Question about Sony BDPCX960

Open Question

I keep getting E8002, and keep unpluging, as it says, and it does not go away. What does the error code mean?

The player will not turn on, and none of the front buttons work. The error message turns off after a few minutes, and the unit has no power.

SOURCE: Sony TV power and volume not working

Since remote does not work, try taking out batt and turning on by set. See if still turns up. It could be that the up button is jammed inside set. Does everything else works? See if you can go to menu and turn speakers off, this will allow you to work on set and not worry about noise.

SOURCE: stops working after a few mins with cd player playing

One of three things: speaker wire short, shorted/or blown speaker, or a bad output chip. First and easiest way to check is to disconnect all speakers, turn it on, turn it up, and wait. If that's ok, begin connecting one speaker at a time with the unit off, then turn on and play. When you get to the speaker or wire with the problem, it will short and go into protection. Disconnect all speaker wires again and only hook up the speaker that shorted the receiver and test. If it shorts, swap speakers with the same wire and test again. If a different speaker on the same wire causes the unit to short, replace the wire. if it doesn't, you need to test the speaker with a multimeter or disassemble if possible, check the wiring internally on the speaker. Check the impedance, should be 8ohms or 6ohms depending on the drivers. then check for resistance. If your meter says 1... it's shorted and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps

SOURCE: STR-DH700 won't power up unless I unplug-plug it.

This is a logic problem with the internal microprocessor. A quick experiment: Turn the unit on for about 2 minutes and shut it down. Doe sit power uip in this case? If so, I'd suspect that the heat generated during normal operation is creating an internal problem thaty is preventing the micro from recognizing the "off" condition. The power data line is hung and is not being recognizwed by the micro so any attempt to turn the unit on will fail. The unplug/re-plug essentially clears or resets the unit.

If the unit is new, return it for warranty repair. It will be important to describe when the unit fails however. Try to see how long it must remain on for the problem to occur.

Update this with your results if the unit is not under warranty and we'll try to narrow it down.

Thanks,
Dan

SOURCE: Turns off/on every few minutes

My KDF-E50A10 was doing the exact same thing. I replaced the lamp and it has been fine since. Even though the LAMP light on the front of the set was not on, replacing the lamp was the fix. Good Luck

Just installed new roku going through set up menu goes to get newest update and kept getting error code 011

That error code is usually associated with the firewall in the wireless router. If you turn off the router firewall then the Roku should be able to access the Internet to perform the update.

I keep getting a F6E5 error code on my Whirlpool stove. I have tried unplugging it (overnight) and the error won't go away. Any ideas before I call the repair man?

The error code F6E5 means "Cancel key error". Press the "Cancel" and "Start" keys in the following order: CANCEL, CANCEL, START. Verify the error code displayed on the control by observing for longer then 1 minute. If the error comes back then the control board needs to be replaced..

Keep getting following error in Outlook 2007:

Fault bucket errors can be caused by many things. Sometimes it is a program that is using memory improperly. Also, it can be a hardware issue with the RAM itself.
You can Google RAM TEST and find programs that will test your RAM. MS makes one that you make a boot disk and run it.
Also, it never hurts to open your computer and make sure the RAM is seated properly. The last time I saw many random bucket errors it turned out to be 2 of 3 RAM sticks weren't properly seated.

Canon IR210s Copier - How do I get into the service mode to reset E007-01?

Error code E007 on an ir2016 means that the fuser film has a fault. The fuser film is the black sheet that melts the ink into the paper on the final stage of the copy process. It more than likely has ripped apart. You will need to call a service tech for this one. but initially try this:-- the fuser rollers (top and bottom ) have heat lamps in the core

there is a thing called a thermister ( temperature sensor) that could be bad
FIRST UNPLUG AND PLUG IN THEN TURN ON TO SEE IF ERROR GOES AWAY

If you are handy you could (by all means unplug the power form the copier to the wall or power source)
remove the cover protecting the heat lamps and remove the lamPs( they are long like a 13 inch straw( YOU WILL NEED A SMALL PHILLIPS SCREW DRIVER, PLIARS

do not touch the glass part with your fingers
inspect the filament to see if it is burned out.
---------One other suggestion before removing fuser lamps after unpluging then plugging in and turning machine on press * and # at the same time to see if this will reset the code.
---This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Erroe Code : 0400001F

This error code is very hard to fix. You may end up having to send it back to Olympus or buy a new one. But here's a few things to try and you may get lucky. Connect the remote, power on the player and hold down the heart, mode and play buttons on the remote at the same time. This re-sets the player. If this doesn't work, remove the back cover. There are 4 small screws that hold the back plate on. Once the cover is removed, unplug the battery. Plug it back in after 30 seconds. The player should re-boot. You can also try disconnecting the hard drive and reconnecting it. Unplug the battery before disconnecting the hard drive. If none of these suggestions work, you may be out of luck. i know of no other ways to fix this error code.

F2:E1

This has happens to us regularly. Today when it happened I unplugged the oven and let the it cool hoping that would help. It didn't. I did that several times over a couple of hours to no avail. When it powers up, there are a sequence of different readings on the screen before the error code comes up. In my final effort, just before the code F2:E1 appeared, and it read PF, I quickly turned on the oven and that interrupted the sequence. It is now working. Lucky. I hope this helps someone.

Portable DVD player won't read discs.

There are 2 errors, ho3 and ho2, I can't remember which one is which. One means the laser is going and one means it's a dirty track. I suggest you first very gently clean the lens. If that doesn't work you take apart the player and clean the whole track that the laser moves on along with everything around it (keeping in mind that the laser is fragile). If that doesn't work than I can't help anymore without seeing it.
