SOURCE: No video on new Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 motherboard

There are a couple things that you need to look at. The first is your power supply. I've had computers seeming to run fine with no video. Turned out to be bad power supplies.
Does your video card require a power connection? Many high-end video cards need an external power connection. If the card has a power connection, use it.
Have you gone in and checked the cmos settings? What does it say (if anything) for the default video?
Now remove all connections to drives (hard drive and CD and try for video. Try it.
Next, if possible, swap out memory.
After you've tried everything (including maybe burning incense), time to try a new motherboard.

SOURCE: Which graphics cards are compatible

You can not use a PCI-E card. This mobo has one AGP slot and TWo PCI(not PCI-E) slots. I am assuming you have a Dell Optiplex GX260? It has the D845 series board. Goto Newegg.com and search for: AGP. They have a nice x1650pro agp card for cheap. I have the same board in one of my PC's

Have emachines monitor which is not coming on power button fast flicker

Which power button is flickering (your computer, or your monitor).
Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.
Good luck.

What type of graphic card are compatable with emachines T3624 Pc's

Hello here are the homepage:

http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?modelId=1581

This mainboard has the PCI-e graphic card socket, and a AGP graphic card will not fit and run on it.

A PCI-E graphic card, can be bought in a computer store or online.

Does the pc boot at all ???

If not try to renew the power supply.

Good luck

Plugged in my emachine LE1938 to my dell without the DVI cable, screen displays 'no signal'. Shouldn't the monitor work without the DVI cable?

The DVI cable transports the display signal from the video card to the monitor.

I think what Ron is asking is if you used a different cable to connect the monitor to the computer. (I'm assuming you used an old 15 pin monitor cable or whatever those old cables were?)

Without getting into your BIOS:

So on your computer, you probably have an onboard video card (a video card built into the motherboard itself), and a dedicated video card (probably where you're seeing the DVI out).

It may be possible that you have the on board video card (with the traditional connection) disabled, when the dedicated video card is plugged in.

This isn't rocket science, so don't worry. Phillips head screwdriver is all you need.

Pull the side panel off your computer (assuming it's a tower... if not, it's the top panel). Once you have it off, you'll see that video card plugged into a slot on the motherboard, with 1 phillips head screw holding it in place (inside, near the back, where the DVI port is).

Pull the screw, and the video card should come out. From there, the BIOS should recognize your card is missing, and thus revert to using the onboard video card.

Acer desktp internal ram installation needed

I'm a bit confused....did you have all four of these in the ACER and are trying to put the 2x1GB into the Emachine? And that the 2x1 GB wouldn't work in the Emachine but they did in the ACER and that the 2x512 Acer cards worked in the emachine?

If that is what happened here is my best guess. The ACER MOBO will support 533/667/800 MHZ DDR2 RAM. The Emachine will only support 533 RAM. Iys possible the 2x1GB are either 667 or 800 MHZ and are not compatible with the Emachine but will work in the ACER.

that's a functional motherboard you got there. The beep that you hear is an error beep for not reading a ram. Yes, you will insert a ram that is compatible with your motherboard. No you can't use that without a video card. If you've got a spare video card put it on your motherboard

ET1161-07 onboard Video gone bad. I tried a Gforce 8800GS 384mb card, that works, and I have no video, 1 long beep that never stops. Ican't get into the bios with the onboard video or the new video and...

Hi.

One continuous beep means that you probably have not put the graphics card in the PCI express slot or there is a short somewhere in the system.

Follow these steps to try and resolve the problem:

Remove the power cord and the video lead from the back of the machine and then remove the side panel to reveal the motherboard.
Remove the graphics card and take a look at the PCI Express slot for dust. If you see any dust get a clean, dry paintbrush and clean the dust from the slot and then blow on the slot to remove the rest of it.
Next look at the brass contacts on the graphics card and clean then. Re-seat the card making sure that it is fully pushed down in the slot.
Check that any other cards you have installed in the machine are seated properly.
Without putting the side panel back on, connect both the video lead and the power cord and turn it on. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE THE COMPUTER!!!

If the computer boots up turn it back off and put the side panel back on. If not then please post back telling me what the computer is doing.

Good luck.

Have emachines W2060. Can't get screen to show

Hi Joe,

Could be one of several things:

1) Monitor cable connection loose.
2) Video card (if you have one) not seated, or bad.
3) RAM module not seated, bad, or wrong kind. (If you have not messed with the RAM, probably not one of these.)
4) If your video is integrated into the motherboard (no video card) your motherboard may be bad. Installing a separate card could correct this.
5) Bad monitor.

Have you made any changes to your system when this happened?

Try to connect another monitor/cable to your computer and try your monitor on a friend's computer to see if it works.

Comment back with any updates.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Yes , you need the extra power adaptor to your video card.
I would contact the seller or go to your local computer store taking the video card to make sure you get the correct adaptor.

There are a couple of things it could be. From simply checking the cable on both ends (computer to monitor) to see if they are loose. It could also be the card is damaged. I would check it with a second monitor to be sure.
