Question about Samsung SGH-a737 Cellular Phone
When I turn off my Samsung a737 phone it turns itself back on about 3 seconds after turning off. I cannot get the phone to turn off. I have tried taking the battery out but that didn't work.
Wierd things started to happen to my son's phone when got it wet. I tried the tricks I found on the web. Things like: putting it in the oven to dry it out, and letting it sit for a few days. I ended up taking the phone completely apart. It was a little tricky, but since the water voided the warranty, I figured I had nothing to lose. It will a little bit of work, but I got it all apart. I figured it someone would assemble it, it ought to come apart. I found some 'corrision' on some of the flat ribbion cable connections. I think there was one for the screen and another for the keypad. After doing that, it has worked just as good as when it was new. It has been about 8 months since I did that. One thing I will caution, is becareful with the slide mechanism. May sure you see how it is put together. One of the springs popped out on me and it took a bit to figure it out.
