Question about La Crosse Technology WS9640UIT Weather Boy Wireless Temperature Station
Have checked batteries , show 1.61 V on all. Have removed batteries , waited 15 min. replaced in sensor first, then inside unit , 4 times, with same results. When the sensor icon comes on the outside temp. is displayed for 5- 8 minutes and then returns to ( - - ), for 10 -15 min. and sensor icon comes on and we start all over. What do I do next ?

I keep the outside unit of our in/out set under a coffee can shaded under a bench; one could argue the aesthetics but shielding it from wind and sun is mandatory otherwise one can get record temps pretty often.
The outside units generally transmit to the receivers only every few minutes to keep battery consumption down so moving them won't necessary gie you an immediate change.

The problem can be from two point of view.
1). from the battery capacity if not up to the voltage expected to be use.
2). And also if the battery sensor is not compatable with it.
However, what you need to do is to test run the system with another battery in other to be able to locate were the problem is from if from the battery or the the system it self.
