Question about Dynex 32 in. LCD Flat-Panel HDTV

Dynex 32" LCD White Screen Problem.

I have had my tv for almost 5 months. I know it's a Dynex, and it's nothing special, but it should still work. It has worked great until last night, 1/16/09. When turning it on, the entire screen is white, which isn't normal. It doesn't show picture, until after it has been on for 10 minutes or so. In which case, I have to turn it off and turn it back on to see if the picture will come in. Otherwise it just stays white. It is almost like it has to warm up, but it's not cold in my room so that wouldn't make sense. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will be calling Best Buy to see if they will let me exhange it, or if they know what to do about it. Thanks.

    I have a similar problem on my TV, the corners are white on start up as well as some lines up and down the screen and it takes about a half an hour to warm up. My TV is two months out of warranty but I will be contacting Best Buy none-the less.

    well mine is different i have little thin faded blue lines on my screen. and have lines missing when i change the channel

    I am having the same problem. I've only own my Dynex TV for 3 months. It worked great Friday night; got up Saturday morning and there is this white screen. It looks like the picture is running in negative exposure behind the white screen. With my TV the picture does not improve at all, even after having the TV on for over 40 minutes. I am very annoyed, I was very skeptical about about purchasing the TV because it's not one of the better known brands; but I thought, 'Well this is Best Buys so it will be okay'....Now I'm feeling really stupid.

Hi, My Name is Jorge K. My family owns Dynex T.V. 32 LCD, we bought the tv at BEST BUY=BBY and we did not buy any warranty from BBY all we had was the fatory warraty that last a year. we had the same problem after five months the screen of that tv stop working and all we watch was a WHITE SCREEN.
Solving the Problem:
If you the orginal owner and bought the tv from BBY, you should call Dynex " the phone number will be on your owner manual tv.and it should be free if you live in the USA" and explain the situation about your TV. It might be a white screen or different problems. You should have your BBY receipt from that tv. because they will ask you for information that the receipt has. After you finish complaning with Dynex, Dynex will transfter you to BBYbecause Dynex branch is relate to BBY as the manual explain us. You will be talking to BBY Geek department. Geek department will send a Technician to fix the T.V. The Technian WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIX THE TV THE SAME DAY BECAUSE HE/SHE WOULD NEED TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT PART TO FIX THE TV. Generally the tech will need to order a NEW SCREEN TO REPLACE AND FIX THE PROBLEM, but pay me no mind. Haha I am not a t.v. Tech. haha.
Because the Tech will not able to fix the problem the same day, he will give you a phone number and you will have to call BBY and ask if your replacement screen arrive. If they are unable to get your new screen, Dynex will give an order to change the T.V. for a new one. and they will give you a change number that you must write. Then you can go to the BBY where you bought the TV or any BBY and get you new Dynex TV. BBY will try to charce extra money because my, your or our Dynex tv model might be old and had a lower price than they new Dynex tv that BBY has right now. I think you will have to convince the manager from BBY home teather department not to charge you extra money. My father was able to convince the manager and we paid nothing for the new tv.

Solution if you Dynex TV is not from best buy or has more than a year:
haha YOU OUT OF LUCK, You can try call Dynex first and deal will the problem. You can also try to replace the screen but it might not fix the tv and replacing a screen could be costly, haha I just prefer to buy a new TV and no invest in something that might be trash if that solution doesn't work out. Risky, Please play save with your money and don't gamble. HAHA.

If i hurt any feeling, i bet for forgiveness and I wish that everything goes alright with your tv and your life.

Best Buy tell me that they have fixed the problem - a loose ribbon cable to the LCD screen. Not fitted right at the factory.

Dynex dx-32l151a11 the picture is black and white with the dvd player


With a Black and White picture it sounds like you're trying to connect the DVD Player's "Composite" connection to the TV's Component Connection.

Composite is a 3 wire system with Yellow for the video, and red and white for the audio. On your TV this connection is located on the side.

Component is a 5 wire system, with Blue, Green & Red for Video, and Red and White for audio. On your TV this connection type is located on the rear panel.

Check to make sure you are hooking the DVD player & the TV to the same input types.

Dynex tv 32 lcd problem


You may have bad T-CON board, but first verify that the 12vdc feeding it is OK. Try reseating he connector at the T-CON board also, BE REAL CAREFUL HERE, the wires are really small on this connector, if you are not sure of what you are doing, do not try to remove it.

Just go to the service center where you bought that tv ,cause its ,one year warranty period. just consult your tv to the costomer service personel.

Dynex 32" LCD - bottom 2/3 of screen is black w/ colored lines


My screen looks EXACTLY like that! I called Dynex and they told me my warranty is out and they cant fix it. I have only had this TV a bit over a year. Did you get a resolution??

I have a dynex 32 lcd and in the screen has all of a sudden turned white with no picture. I still have sound but no picture and nothing is working.


open the back cover of you tv you can see the power supply there.using a multitester measure the output of the power supply wether there is 5 volts output...check the connectors specially the RGB fit them to the terminals...the power supply outputs are 5v,12v,and 24 volts if one of them is missing replace the power supply..

TV worked fine one night, next day screen is white.


The LCD Panel failed. There is no easy fix but try to get the T-Con board to fix the issue. However, this part is usually only available with the whole LCD Panel. This is usually the most expensive part in the TV and the whole TV needs to be taken apart to replace the panel.

Might be economically viable if you can find a place that carrys the T-con but Dynex parts are usually hard to find. The LCD Panel part alone will exceed the cost of the TV.

Dynex DX-LCD32-09. tv was working fine, then out


This type of failure could be in the LCD controller board or the power supply might not be providing enough voltage to the main board and LCD controller.
Let me know if you require further assistance locating the boards or part numbers.

Power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound


Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.
