I just got my lg keybo and it wont let me play any of the songs, im really irritated because everything else about this phone seems pretty awesome and the telus lady sold me on it, i just signed a 3 yr contract on the stupid thing and it doesnt even work properly.... I'm really not impressed with this one.

I have a Keybo 2 phone so I assume the procedure is the same for the first generation Keybo.

1) First of all, only MP3 format works, period. Don't waste time trying to load WMA or any other music format.

2) Get a micro SD card as this opens up other features of the media functions

3) Using the USB cable, connect your phone to the computer and there should be 2 file browsers that will show up: one for the internal memory and the other for the external memory (micro SD).

4) On the external memory browsing window you should find a MY MUSIC folder. Copy all your MP3 music files into this folder.

5) Unplug the USB cable and open your phone's music player. It will detect the new songs and build update the library.

There you go, you're all set! It took me a couple of hours of searching and tryouts but this works every time. Good listening!

Hello never done tis before but I was trying to find out how to play mp3s with no success from the net butI did it in the end.
1- format the card on the phone. if it asks for a unlock code try the last 4 digits of you cell number.
2- insert the sd card into your computer using micro adapter.
3-copy and paste to your music on the sd card from the computer.
4- insert the card into the phone, and turn the power on.
5- open phone, press ok button for menue. press ok again for music and media.
6- press ok again for mobile music, and again for music player.
7- wait till it loads and press play.
8- do not go to card memory and try it that way as it just says nothing stored.
good luck

And make sure you don't have an SDHC card instead of just an SD card apparently this makes a difference (I don't know why), but someone else brought that up on the forums here. If your phone says to use SD use SD. If it says SDHC, use SDHC. Look carefully at the card you buy.
If your store sold you the wrong one, go back and ask to exchange it. They should have known to ask you. Always bring your phone with you when buying accessories.
This just adds to the conversation.

I loaded mp3 files onto sd card but my phone says that there are no music files on it...how can I fix that?

You probably downloaded your file(s) into the "wrong" folder.
Just "move" the file into the _only_ folder that your phone will be expecting that your music must be stored.

Alright I got the same phone and i figured out the problem.. you got to save the picture's to your sd card, then connect your phone to your computer/laptop with the usb and options will pop up saying "import picture's" then just click it and it will import the picture's.

My Micro SD card and LG keybo wont detect, pictures, songs, videos

Hello,
You are clearly upset. Some of your readers may not much appreciate the level of language you use. As to your MicroSD card, check if it is not SDHC. If your telephone does not support SDHC, there is nothing you can do except upgrade the firmware of your phone (if possible.)
If I were in your boots, and being so worked up, I would return the card and get my money back.

Hope it helps

I dont know how to upload music on my LG Keybo phone i bought recently. Can you help me?

plug it into the pc and select mass storage on the handset. this will make your pc think its a disk drive. then go into my computer and transfer it to a folder on the phone. the onboard music player should recognise it and you should be able to play it.

My LG Keybo Won't play Windows Media Files

look for a freeware program on the net called "Switch"
amazing program
google it and its there.
it converts almost any auido to basically any audio you wish.
only downside i have come across is that the keybo cant handle some of the translated songs,
for example: a few of my tunes sound slowed down about 10bpm
not the worst but 90% of wma's turn out fine mp3's on the keybo
and 100% of wma's turn out great mp3's with the program,
got me?

LG KEYBO

There's 2 ways that you cn listen to music in your Lg Keybo.

1-Download songs from the Internet cell phone
2-Buy a Micro SD card and put all your song onto the card, and plug-in the card into the phone.

Im only a 8 years old, but I know how to solve problems too :P
