Panasonic plasma tv and self check

My panasonnic plasma tv has starting going into "self check" mode which freezes everything up including the remote and I have to shut it off at the tv. Then when I turn it back on all the presets have been lost and I have to go thru setup for all the channels, etc.

While pressing [ENTER] on the remote control press the [1] button on the remote - that should change the remote's control code back to one.

SOURCE: Stuck in self check mode

Manually pull down the front shield, then somewhat forcefully pull down the inner shield and maybe two little white pins so the tray is exposed with nothing blocking it. Have someone plug the machine in while you are holding everything out of the way and the tray should start to open. Pull your fingers out quickly so you don't block the tray from sliding out.

SOURCE: Starts a self check then power goes off

Not sure if this will help. My machine was stuck with a "Please Wait" message. Searched internet, many folks with problem. The fixes all pointed to 2 capacitors being blown. My brother was able to easily solder 2 new ones in and the machine worked perfectly. If you Google the name and model with Please Wait after it, you will see some of the conversations and remedies. Your machine may be heading toward this problem.

Also, beware of storing too much on your hard drive! My machine was working great after the above repair, but I believe I had too much stored on mine and I got a U99 Error Code. Service Center said it can not be repaired and THEY DO NOT MAKE THESE ANYMORE. There are DV machines with a hard drive so you can watch shows, but not to record show/movies. I make DVDs of my son's high school games. Can edit and transfer many games at once with this machine... not with any others!

Do not let this one die on you. It is priceless.

If you purchased it with a warranty, you may be able to get Panasonic to repair it. Check your warranty to get the conditions for returning it. The "new" Circuit City is operating. I do not believe they will honor purchases under the "old" Circuit City. However you can ask at www.circuitcity.com

We need the device code of the panasonic Tc42px24 plasma HDTV thank

Hello
Panasonic TV's after 1996 can be set to "Serviceman Mode" with the
following remote control sequence:

-select the SET-UP icon and select CABLE mode.
-select the TIMER icon and set the SLEEP timer for 30 minutes.
-press the ACTION button twice to get out of the menus.
-change to channel 124.
-adjust the volume to minimum (0).
-Hit the VOL down button on the TV itself (not on
the remote) and a red "CHK" should appear in the upper corner.
-press the ACTION and VOLUME DOWN buttons (again, on the
TV, not the remote) you will toggle between AGING and SERVICEMAN modes.

Select Serviceman mode. The POWER button on the remote control will
select one of the five Serviceman Adjustment modes.

The modes are:

B - Serviceman VCJ SUB Adjustments. These include sub-tint,
sub-color, sub-brightness, sub-contrast, colorkiller/ABL/gamma,
audio and video adjustment, and vertical size.

C - Serviceman VCJ Cut-off adjustments. These include Red, Green
and Blue cut-off, red and blue drive, automatic fine tuning
(AFT), RF AGC (RF gain control), horizontal center, beam limit,
etc.

S - Serviceman Options Adjustments. These involce the PIP and
clock.

M - Serviceman MTS (Stereo/SAP) adjustments.

CHK - the mode you first entered. Normal picture and sound, lets
you check things over and still have a hotkey into the
service menu.

There is one more adjustment that isn't in the five modes, it's
global. When in either the yellow or red CHK mode, you can press
RECALL on the remote control to enter the purity field check mode.
This lets you select a pure white, red, green, or blue screen. A
good thing to walk away from if you just want to temporarily freak
out the floor manager, but it will be fixed as soon as the TV is
turned off. Oh well.

To get out of Serviceman mode, press ACTION and POWER on the
receiver simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. The TV will momentarily
shut off and then comes back on.

I want program my dishnetwork remote to work on my 42" viera plasma tv but i can't find the codes.

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Panasonic TV. We're going to start by pressing andholding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter thecodes for your Panasonic TV; here some of the codes we currently have:512, 876, 780, 765, 689, and 819. Press the pound (#) button. To check that thecode works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it willproperly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible withyour equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for that deviceuntil you find one that is compatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

need replaced A-BOARD
Manufacturer Panasonic Part Number TNPH0716ABS Description A- BOARD

After the installation of a new A board, unit has the characters "CHK" on screen. The usual reset procedures of [VOL -] and [MENU] or [OK] or [SLEEP] will not get rid of "CHK".

1. Enter the service mode by holding down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and simultaneously pressing the [INFO] button on the remote control three times.
2. Press the number [2] key on the remote to highlight [SRV-TOOL].
3. Press the [OK] button on the remote control to select [SRV-TOOL].
4. Use the [DOWN ARROW] on the remote control to scroll down to [PCTC].
5. Use the [RIGHT ARROW] button on the remote to open the box to the right, then press and hold down the [MUTE] button on remote to display Time/Count.
6. Press and hold the [RETURN] button on the remote control until the TV turns off.
7. Immediately press and hold down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and the [MENU] button on the remote. The TV should come up in the Self Check mode.
8. Remove AC power.

Panasonic Viera keeps going into picture refresh mode. How can I stop this?

The tv is on "store" rather than "home" setting. If the message "going to refresh mode" keeps appearing every 5-10 minutes, do the following:

-Unplug TV from wall and leave it for about a minute.
-Plug TV back in and follow "initial setup instructions" (can be found on page 14 of manual).
You will be given the choice of "home" or "store" settings. Change it from "store" to "home".
-Done.

Push favorite button and get "self check"

If your panasonic has intermittent power issues the tv will require service, power supply needs an adjusment that should be done by a service tech, if not then you will need a power board. Julio milleniumtvsvc@gmail.com
