My problem is quite similar to yours. I have the Tview T560HR 5.6" monitor. But it is NOT an S-video connection, as I ALSO thought. I got an adapter, and then realized it is not the same connector, when it would not plug in. From what I understand, it is a proprietary wiring connector. I was just going to check into the pin-outs myself, to see what I can figure, to do.

THE S-VIDEO LOOK ALIKE IS ACTUALLY A PIN ADAPTER FOR AV JACKS. THE DVD MAKERS USE SPECIAL CONNECTIONS TO COMPLICATE ADDING TO MIXED SYSTEMS. (THEY WANT YOU TO BUY ONLY THEIR PRODUCTS!) REPLACEMENT ADAPTERS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE @ http://www.tview.us/

I installed a tview in my truck today it works ok but when i turn my headlights on it goes to rearview and i cant listen to music

This is a feature to stop it being used while driving.. You need to find and bypass, you really shouldn't, the "Drive inhibit" wire.circuit. They are all different, either that or rewire to an always on positive. No through "Key"

Need a power plug for 17" tview flip down monitor

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

Monitor not working

DUE TO THE FACT THE TV UNIT IS FIXED TO THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR AND WILL ABSORB THE IMPACT AS WELL. ITS HIGHLY POSSIBLE THE UNIT WAS DAMAGED IN THE ACCIDENT, DO SOME BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING , CHECK THE HARNESS FOR DAMAGE, PLUGS AND FUSES BEFORE U FINALLY TOSS IT

Back A Car Signal

The speculation on this webpage: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-88625.html makes it sound like it is a trigger to switch the monitor to display a rear-facing camera when you put the car into reverse. You would either wire it to a manual switch (to 12v) or to your reverse lights. Keep in mind, this is not an authoritative answer. Good luck, and let us know if this helps!
