Question about Apple iPod classic MP3 Player
Hi I recently received an Ipod Nano from a friend and I set it up and everything worked great. I just locked the screen and I can't unlock it. I called my friend and he said that he forgot the 4 digit combination. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? my brother was on my ipod on my ipod just locked on its own. Well, I have this ipod classic (5th generation) from my big brother. One day I was exploring the ipod when suddenly I pressed the lock icon, and now, I do not know the password. I tried to email my brother but he forgot the password too, Help!!!!! :(
The only way to get rid of the password is to do a "Factory Reset" which will delete everything on the iPod. You hook it up to the computer and then when you select the iPod in the "source" panel of iTunes, select the "Summary" tab. There should be a "Restore" button. Just follow the instructions that iTunes gives you. For more detail, Apple support has a page that has every little thing on it, but this should be enough to get you through it.
