Is MSN Yahoo sweepstakes a legitimate give away?

Always check the URL when you click a link. Don't go for phishing mails ar other scams. They only try to get software on your computer and you never win a dime.
Consider mail from a person you don't know as spam. Yahoo, Google and other providers, only will send mil to explain changes in their service. All other mails are to be considered as spam.
Don't come back in a few days, telling your computer acts strange, after you clicked a link.

Gud day sir my emaill recieve a lootery wining no. that came from u.k and he told to his letter that i win $250,000 doolar, my question is thats its true ??? yahoo messenger have any lottery promotion???...

Do not believe such mails. I don't know how they do this. But as far as i have read from newspapers and saw in news,it is said that people imposing as manager of banks or some other lotteries will send you mail to deposit some amount and get the lottery amount. When they get the money,they escape with it.

Excerpt from uk national lottery website:
These scams work in two ways:
Method 1: Persuade the victim to part with personal information to allow the scammers to carry out identity theft.
Method 2: Persuade the victim to part with money as an upfront payment in order to release a winning lottery prize which does not exist.

Another excerpt from Uk national lottery website:
  • If the email says 'Winning Notification' or 'Lottery Sweep Stake' in the text, the email you've received is not from The National Lottery;
  • We don't tell players how much they've won in an email;
  • We don't ask for any personal information like name, address or bank details in an email.
There is no need to contact us if you have received a lottery-related scam (fraudulent) email.

Yahoo! mail-cannot access e mail from desktop icon

it means your browser has been hijack and you are redirecting to a undesired site. You need to download and run malwarebytes and antivrus software. Your pc is infected and any personal information you put in could be logged and sent to the attackers. Take your pc offline and don;t do any further personal transactions on it like passwords, banking etc until you are aure it is clean.

My soon to be ex wife somehow gained access to my yahoo account. I have used a credit card recently for the account for yahoo personals, my lawyer has sent me dozens of emails to this account and she has...

Sounds like a very smart, determined, and vengeful woman.
Try to reconcile with her: send her flowers, a box of chocolates,
and a tearful note of apology. Maybe she'll forgive you and the two of you can get together again.
