unfortunately this is the display and it will cost as much or more than you paid for the set to have it fixed. You might can call Toshiba and see if they will help you with it. Is it less than a year old, if so it is still in warranty and they will have to fix it.

$99 for the replacement if that is for sure the problem.

1. This is due to a failing sound module
2. Your flat panel tv needs service to the board level to check voltages and components surrounding the sound chip in your tv.

Sounds like your connected component video. Try connencting with the yellow white and red cables. Also the unit might be set to progressive scan. Try dropping resolution within the player. Hope this helps.
