a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: RICOH 2015 error code sc 500
Main motor/ transport motor lock/ fusting motor error.
The only thing you can do is check for any obstructions in the machine.
That needs to be looked at by a service because the problem could be a motor, a pcb, or a power supply.
It can be a lot of troubleshooting to do.

First of all never touch the optics section of a 450 will give you SC101
I got three solutions for you.
1. Clean the ID sensor.
Take out the Drum Unit, and locate it in the machine its on the top facing the drum.
2. Go to SP Mode. Clear Modes enter 1 0 7 press clear/stop for 4 seconds. enter 1, enter 3001-2 and execute, exit SP Mode.
3. Or Some developer is missing.

SC870 = Address Book Data Error. This is most likely a hard drive failure especially considering the power loss. This is about a $175 repair in case you want to call around locally and get estimates to replace the drive. There is an outside chance you can get someone to walk you thru the Service Mode and do the following to reload the address book:
1. Enter the SP mode
2. 5846-50 (Initialize All Address Book)
3. Turn the machine off then on again.
