Hoover rug scruber hose broke from clean water to brushes it has an inter hose running through it

Is this the 1 1/2" clear hose that is on the right side that you can see when the handle is released? It stretches for the base of the machine to the upper handle? If it is, the hose must be replaced. The ends on the hose are permanently attached during manufacturing.

Our Hoover U8172-900 brush motor is not working. Do you have a wiring diagram so I can determine if the motor circuit board is the problem or the motor?

No diagrram is necessary unless you have dismandled.
Check if the brushes are touching the mtor commutator. If not you can easily remove both the brushes and polish the surface evenly .Insert only after cleaning the motor commutator till the copper shines.
Use can check for the continuity of the brushes to show that the armature is working Ok.
Now check the filed winding. Both the windiings must snot show any leak or short to the body. If so the motor is fault.
If field is ok with the resistance check then check for power supply to mtor when switch is triggered . If not check cord and switch.
Hope this tip helps.

Describe how to replace belt on hoover windtunnel bagless

If you turn the vacuum so the bottom is facing up you will see the base plate that covers the roller brush. There will be four screws (usually phillips head), remove the screws and the base plate will lift off. You now have access to the roller brush and belt. Lift the roller brush up and remove the old belt. Place one end of the new belt over the motor shaft and the other end over the roller brush and put the roller brush back in place. Now simply replace the base plate and you're done! This models requires Hoover belt # 38528033 (single) or Hoover belt #40201160 (2 pack). You can get this belt at

I have a hoover elite 200 it did not have a belt on it when i got it and i cant find the drive shaft.

You must remove the lid of the vac and find the pulley end of the brush. directly behind it one hand length you will see a small silver shaft. If the shaft is other than silver it is coated with burned rubber. or rust and dirt.
Clean off the burned rubber polishing the shaft with wet dry sandpaper . Then rotate by hand to test for any blockage in the motor fan. Also rotate the brush roll to see that it spins freely. Using a genuine hoover ELITE belt wrap the belt around the motor shaft and brush roll and use the brush to stretch the belt forward as you lower the brush into place. Once seated , rotate the brush again to see that the belt is turning, then reinstall the lid. Do not pick up anything larger than your fingernail or you will blow the fan on this unit.

My dewalt polisher will doesnt turn on when connected to outlet?

I would check the brushes. These are small carbon blocks that transfer the electricity to the armature and are usually easily accessible from outside the tool. Look for two round disk like caps with a screw slot. Undo the caps and take out the brush and you may find it is worn to the limit.
