Ok. First check your belt. Is it broken? Then if that's not broken, check the ends of your beater bar for a build up of hair, string, etc. This build up will stop your beater brush from working. If you can clear that stuff away well enough you might get lucky and have it work for a while. Otherwise buy another brush/bar.

SYL the brush bar is very clean the belt is fine the connection pins are fine & the reset button is set I dont think the motor is any good ???

Ok so we know the motor is working because the suction is working fine. Unless the dyson has a separate motor for the beater bar... that is. So what you need to determine is if the driving mechanism is turning freely from the motor, through the belt (or direct drive) and to the beater bar. I've had vacuums appear "clean" but actually have a build up of pet dander between the end of the bar and the cups on the ends of the bar that was not visable without some serious examination but we've already covered that. So you'll need to get to the motor and see if that armiture is turning freely. If it is the problem could be anything from a slipping belt to binding as discussed before. Good luck

    *if that isn't the problem....

Ok so if you are pretty sure the motor is shot I guess your two options is to see about getting a replacement motor... or a replacment vacuum. And just use this one for vacuuming out the car or something.

The beater bar in my vacuum does not go around and there is no suction in the power head?

Turn up side down- check if belt is intact- I would remove belt ant look for an obstruction. Not familiar with this vac but some motors have replaceable bruches on the motor. Try running and feeling for suction. The motor should sound strong when running. Remove beater brush and check for freedom of movement.

Vacume wont **** opened it up see nothing wrong HELP

If no suction usuallly means a clog, either in the hose and the dirt inlet by the brush roll. Sometimes if the belt is stretched, it won't turn the brush roll under load and it would seem like there is no suction.

Here is a online guide....it's for the G series Kirbys. They're similar enough that it should help. Pay special attention to the belt lifting process...it's exactly the same as for the Heritage II, and it's also where I think your problem lies. I have a Heritage II manual available too! Hope I have helped...

Steam vac will not pick up dirty water

My Hoover Steamvac problem isn't with the bruches--it's with the suction. Dirty soapy water stays in the carpet instead of being returned to one of the holding tanks.

Spin bruches don't touch floor.

It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough, take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<
