The format you will most likely need is mpg. or uncompressed AVI, divx or xvid.

this is the file formats that tv supports Certain JPEG, SD-Video, AVCHD, MP4, AVI, MKV, FLV, 3GPP, PS, TS, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, HE-AAC.. Try another USB stick or external usb 2.0 harddrive. It could be a problem with the drive itself.. If still nothing contact the company you got it from and see if you still have warranty cause you will need the system replaced with one that doesnt have a corrupted video decoder.

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

but MP4 and mpg (1 or 2) should work, any compressed avi for example Divx and Xvid may not work.

i tried MP4 everything fine but AVI, MKV and MPEG-4 didn't work

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

yeah the TV doesnt support MPEG-4 and compressed AVI or MKV .. meaning it reqires the RAW files. so those that are like 500 Mb or so wont work you need the full uncompressed ones which is in the range of GB's. Stick to the MP4 and mpg2 formats, and you can get free convertors online.

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

and mp4 and mpg files are dvd compressed files, AVCHD is blueray compressed and mpg2 is bluray compressed as well as some mp4 ,, so you get full quality.

Thanks but i'm so fustreted because they said it can read AVI and MKV that's why i bought it anyways thanks a lot for your help

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

no problem at all.. but in their defense it does say SOME AVI and MKV which means uncompressed only.. ps dont forget to rate the solution so it can be of help to others,, rate it how helpful you found it to you if at all.

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

But personally, if you have warranty return it cause its notding what they said it would do.. Its called misleading or false advertising..

Yes i have it... it's been only 2 week i bought it ...with the DLNA everything work but the usb not

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Dec 30, 2012

return it and get another one if the store will let you,, show them the vids dont work although they advertise that it does.. They are bound by law to do so.. Ps dont forget to rate this solution as to how helpful if at all it was to you,, so that it can be of help to other people as well.

Not heart audio, not see videos, not can photo

When you connect the MP3 player to your computer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as an external storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder on your MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the player exactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. To organise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album and place the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from the computer into this folder.
You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music album folder. To delete a file from your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and then plug it into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view the files, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and then press the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Click on this link for instructions on converting video files for MP3 players :- MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :-

How to put movies on ps3 harddrive?

Hi skillet3716,

Format a USB drive as FAT32 file system (NTFS will not work with PS3), create a folder called "VIDEO" (without "s), put the video in there.
name new folders "PICTURE" and "MUSIC" for those types of files as well.

The PS3 will also allow you to access a variety of media file formats from the video, music and photo menus of the Cross Media Bar.

# MPEG-1
# MPEG-2 (PS,TS)
# H.264/MEPG-4 AVC

# ATRAC (.oma .msa .aa3)
# AAC (.3gp .mp4)
# MP3 (.mp3)
# WAV (.wav)
