My vivatek h1080fd after running for a while starts to flicker, loose resolution then shuts down

My vivatek h1080fd after running a while will start to flicker, change colors, lose resolution and then shuts down. The original bulb had 2000 hours. We changed out the bulb thinking this was the problem. It is still doing the same thing.

I have temporarily fixed this issue by directing a fan at the intake vent on the side of the projector. it's gotta be the intake vent and not the exhaust.

I fixed this issue by removing the black circular panel around the lens, so that more air could flow through the projector. I also took the whole thing apart and blew it out with a leaf blower to get all the dust out. After doing that it works like a charm, even in regular mode. Previously I could only get it to stay on for about 5-10 minutes even in high-altitude mode.

How do I fix my power cycling tv??

I have found that the solder connections get loose where they connect to the p.c.b. please make sure its not plugged in and don't touch the hv probe going to the tube. It will be the last time. Be extremely careful and keep one hand behind your back. If that's not it, the power supply has gone south. Get another TV.

The picture is flickering when I am in games!

What about the screen resolution? If you have big screen resolution, try to set it down to 1024X768 and try again to launch game.
Also take a look at that

Predator 500cc.i was out trail riding and it started to bog down alittle, shut it off and when i went to start it wouldnt turn over. my lights were flickering

First thing to check would be the battery connections. Make sure the positive and negative cables are tight. I've chased problems on several atvs, especially Predators, to find out the battery cables were loose. They will make the atv cut out or bog down while riding and make lights flicker. Let me know if you need anything else, Daniel.

Screen flickering

Not likely a bad monitor...
The monitor cable on the back of the computer is loose.

Could also be the screen setting that is difficult to achieve and maintain.

If the cable is already tight on both ends, you might try a lower resolution setting for the monitor.

1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop
2. Go to "Properties" on the drop-down menu
3. Select the "Settings" tab
4. Slide the Resolution knob to the left a little (1024x768 or 800x600) and press [OK]

Hope this helps

After being on for a while sometimes 10 minutes, smoetimes 2 hours, the projection loses color and flickers, I can hear a squeeling noise, and eventually shuts down

Mine does the exact same thing, but usually before it overheats and shuts off. This started after I replaced the lamp the third time. I haven't found an outside solution to this, but pointing a floor fan at it to keep it cooler works for me. Did you ever find a resolution?

The screen flickers, have to reboot it

Start by checking Dell's support site for updated video drivers, then uninstall the drivers for the screen from the device manager, then reboot. It will find and reinstall them. If this doesn't cure it, then this is going to be a hardware issue. Start by checking the screen connections, they sometimes work loose. If the connections are good and the problem persists, it's going to be the inverter or screen, and unfortunately, replacement is your only option.
