My steam mop heats but doesn't steam. almost every time I used it, I used distilled water

Try filling the tank with pure white vinegar and plug it in, pump the handle to get the vinegar through the hose and let it sit for a half hour to dissolve any gunk that is built up, CLR works well for this also. Once it has sat, empty the tank and fill with fresh water.

Take it apart

I had the same issue. What I found upon taking it apart was that it must have fallen and the case was not making contact with one of the safety switches. Taking it apart was easy a mix of phillips head screws and torx screws. Took me 15 minutes to take apart and find the bad spot. I hope your fix is this easy.

How to disassemble Shark Mop s3601? I took all

You need to remove the shark and power button sticklers. There is two screws in each. Once you remove the screws you slide the grey cover and remove 3 more screws holding the chrome piece. Now you can spread the cover open. I just replaced a torn hose.

Shark steam mop troubleshooting

This is a bad sign. The heating element has either come loose or the thermostat has failed to shut the heater down. Dont use it anymore. You can disassemble it and see what the damage is but the smell leads me to believe that it is damaged to the point that is should be replaced. Check the warranty to see if it is covered.

I have an air shark II and have no clue how to charge it ! there is a little wire that comes out of the controller and i plug it in and it just flashes red i let it charge for awhile and it still flashes...

The AirShark II has two ways to charge it. First you can plug in the USB cable into the chopper and then into your computer. The charging takes about 50 min. The second way is to take the little connector from the remote control and plug that into the chopper. The on button should be on the remote and the off button should be on the chopper. This also takes approx. 50 min.
