Yellow wire goes to constant 12 volt power (or battery+ terminal, but you should be able to find constant power in the car...), red to switched, black to ground.

need to check the yellow constant power wire on wire harness to see

1. connected to battery with constant 12 volts
2. if wire has power 12 volts

if no power check fuses to see if blown

with out this wire working right you will never have pre set station on radio or clock

I installed my JVC KD-SX650 and it works but it will not keep the radio station settings and the clock setting once I turn my truck off and back on again, what could be the problem?

you need to make sure the yellow wire is going to a constant power source.. the yellow wire controls the clock and preset setting memory.

I have JVC cassette car receiver fitted into my classic Triumph Spitfire. It has a direct feed +12volts to it via a fuse. When I put all my selected radio freqs into the memory they all work, also I can...

You have the Constant (Memory) Power wire connected to a switched power source.
Make sure the YELLOW wire is tapped into a power source that is always 12VDC 9when the key is in the OFF position).

Yellow wire - Constant power - to retain memory settings.
Red Wire - Switched power - to turn on and off with the key.

Wont save pre-set stations

you need to make sure the red wire is connected to the battery via a fuse(normally inline or in the back of the unit) and the yellow is connected to ignition live(ignition needs to be on to give power). if the red wire is not permanantly live then the pre-program function will be reset every time you turn the ignition off.

My car stereo a jvc kd-s6060 losses pre-set stations when its been turned off.

Your wires are probably backwards. the yellow one is for memory and it gets wired to direct battery voltage to hold the memory. The red wire is for power when key is turned on.

Connecting a JVC fr end loader to an old car.

Thanks, I got it right. The blue 'remote' wire stays unused and the red 'ascessories' and the yellow battery supply for the clock and memory are coupled together.
