Freezes on wait, wont move past that (by 2 users)

I have a sv mp020 and it freezes on the wait screen, i read a help topic on here about the same thing that says to put it on hold but the hold button will not register. What can i do to fix this. If the USB is plugged in the wait screen will stay up if its not it will say wait for a few minutes then just turn off.
