The unit could have a faulty door lock, timer, pump, or control board not communicating correctly.

There is a switch under the lid,Look for a slot onder where the lid rests on the dryer,there is an actuator under there where the dryer lid when shut should avtivate,this switch is either bent out of place,or the little pin that hits it when shut is missing or broke off.
