Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

My sansa E280 will not turn on

My MP3 player was working just fine until i just happened to turn off for a second to hook it to my computer. then when i hooked it up, my computer wouldnt recongnize the device. i havent had this problem before,and i only had this mp3 player for about 6 months or so. is there any thing i can do or is it time to get a new MP3 player

I have more advice on my Tips & Tricks for fixing Sansa players, but here is a likely candidate:
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from Sandisk's website (make sure the Sansa is not plugged into the computer yet). Once the Recovery Tool is downloaded, connect the Sansa to the computer while holding in the REC button and continue to hold it even after th player is plugged in. It should go into Recovery Mode in 10-15 seconds or so.

Well my Sansa e280 wont come on. But when i plug it up to the....


Change the USB mode from MTP to MSC and see if that helps.
Also, make sure the hold/lock is not engaged.

My altec lansing speakers for my sansa is messing up my sansa

Wont turn on or charge


Make sure the hold/lock switch was not accidentally engaged

Load main image failed switch to recovery mode


follow the above steps but turn on the power button if nothing is happening. It's the only way I got my e280 to recovery mode

hold the power button for 15 sec.

Sansa e280 malfunction


i have solved my problem !!
if it says connected and when you plug it and out and it is still not working you just plug then unplug (might take some time)

let the mp3 player run out of batery then charge it and turn it back on and it should work
