I have a brand new 525FA. I can try to take a pic of it tomorrow for you. I may have to call my mom to see what part you need a picture of cause I'm not familiar with sewing machine parts at all. But I'll check with her. Or maybe you can take a pick of what you need to see. Then I can look at it, and take a pic of the same thing on mine.

SOURCE: bobbin jamming

Sounds like it is the bobbin tension that is causing the problem not the top tension. Have a look in your manual it should explain how to adjust the tension. If you do not have a manual have look at this website if they do not list one for your model email them and they will help. Check out the threading page as well.

SOURCE: I've got a Necchi 535FA with a bobbin thread that doesn't hook.

Sounds to me like you may have put the needle in backwards. The flat side should be to the back.

My JUKI 1541 S thread winder is winding too loose. How do I adjust it?

Are you running your thread through the small tension at the upper right of the machine before you run it down to the bobbin? If you are and it is still loose, turn that small white knob to the right to increase the tension on your bobbin thread. If that doesn't seem to be working, pull the two tension discs apart that you have run the thread through, and see if there is a piece of thread or something caught between them that is not allowing the tension discs to close as they should.

How do I rebuild the upper tension mechanism for a singer sewing machine model 507?

It's far too complicated to explain on here. You need to get a service manual for your model, or find one with a similar dial. Make sure the manual covers tension dials. Getting the spring wound correctly can be a challenge. Have you checked to see the if the presser foot lever is pressing against the tension dial from the inside of the machine?

Upper tension won't adjust

You can try "flossing" the tension with a piece of unwaxed dental floss, a dollar bill, or a piece of fabric to try to clean anything that is trapped between the tension discs loose. Be sure the pressure foot it up and the tension knob turned to "0" before trying this. Then dial back the tension to your normal setting and try re-threading your machine. If this doesn't work and you know how to remove and reinstall your tension assembly, that could be the next step. The tension discs do wear out over time, but sometimes it is just some lint that needs to be cleaned out.

Rust inside of tension dial

If your tension knob is on top of the machine, it should be possible to unscrew the knob anti clock wise. Make sure the spring and other washers are not jumping out. Also check the position of the parts to know how to place it back into position once you finished cleaning.

How do i fix sewing machine tension?

#1 rule in dis-assembly of anything is to lay out the parts in the order they came off. I do this with a piece of tape turned sticky side up on my table. (for future reference)

As for your machine.. since you did not provide a model number the best I can offer is this parts page which has some diagrams under each model. Please locate model from the several pages listed... and view the diagrams.

I have a singer futura xl-400 and I am having a problem with the machine

It sounds to me like your bobbin tension is off. Take the embroidery unit off and set the upper tension to "S". Run a line of straight stitches, then a line of zigzag stitches. It is helpful if the bobbin thread and the top thread are different colors for this. If the top thread is almost a straight line, your bobbin tension is too loose. If your bobbin tension is almost a straight line, your bobbin tension is too tight.

To adjust the bobbin tension, take the bobbin case out and locate two screws on the side. The one you want is the straight-slot screw on the left; leave the Phillips on the right alone. The rule is "lefty-loosy", "righty-tighty" turn in the correct direction only 1/4 turn and sew another line; you should see SOME improvement, but it may take repeated attempts to get it in balance. When it is, put the unit back on, and don't forget to change the upper tension to "E".

How to Thread Juki MO-134 Serger from watching lady at Lyles. Turn upper blade up. Push in first then turn up.It makes threading easier. Blue Thread upper looper first. Pull thread through tension knob. Don'tjust lay it there. (She thought that is what I must have done) Orange Thread lower looper next. Pull thread through tension knob as inthreading upper looper. Adjust lower looper so it is right nextto upper looper so that their points are almost together and directly belowsewing needles. Lower looper will be in front of upper looper (I believe). With tread from upper looper pulledback, slightly lift lower looper above upper looper and thread. I think this isright. Pull thread back with other thread. Tension is the key. Remember that. Yellow: Thread left needle first.Remember tension. Pull thread through curled wire on left side of needle arm. Green: Thread right needle. Rememberabout tension. Pull thread through curled wire on right side of needle arm. b> Note: Before sewing turn the wheel tomake sure the stitches are going together correctly.

I just bought a used Husqvarna 2000 sl without a manual.

If you have on old Husqvarna 2000 from the 1970's, then the knobs are as follows:

Top front left: Pattern Selector
Top right: Stitch width
Lower: Stitch length and buttonhole (when turned to 0 and pulled out)
Extreme left: Upper tension
Side left: Presser foot pressure
