Can't open xp Window but came out warning reboot

This would mean that when your PC attempted to boot, it was unable to find or access your Hard Drive within your computer.

It is hard to discern whether this message is coming from the BIOS or the windows installation on your computer, from what you've given.

But it sounds like the windows installation couldn't be found on the hard drive, it's very likely that you'll have to reinstall windows on the computer, if you have any recovery DVD/CDs that came with the computer, now would be the time to try and use them.

Beware that this usually involves formatting the PC's Hard Drive, which means any data on that hard drive will be lost.

I want to format my portable hard drive to be able to back up my laptop.

First you plug it in to your lap top , then wait for it to install ..
Once your laptop says your device is now installed and ready to use , go to the start menu , then click on computer..
Next a window will pop up and you will see a list of drives on the left hand side , find the one that is your external Hard drive ( it wont be C drive, that is your main drive of your laptop ) ..
Next right click on the drive letter once you have found it , then click on format..
Once the format screen pops up , just check the quick format box and then push start !!!
Once it is finished , your hard drive will be formatted !!

I have a pininfarina simpletech 500GB usb external harddrive that does not show up in the My Computer folder of Windows Explorer. Tried hooking it up to a different computer with the same results; no...

If it is a new hard drive then it needs to be formatted. You can do this by going into your start menu - control panel - administrative tools - computer management - disc manager. I could be a little off on the wording as I don't have my computer handy, but in the disc management you should be able to right click on the drive in here and choose format. This will format the drive to be used. I hope this helps.

I brought a new hard drive for my laptop computer is not reading it ....I know the hard drive is blank. but how do I load information on it?

Try this.

Plug in the Hard Drive to the computer, then put your Windows disk into the disk drive. You'll also need to enter the BIOS when your computer boots up and set it to boot from your disk. There should be an option that says "Press X to enter Setup" when you turn on your computer. (X being F1, F2, DEL, Etc.)
Once the BIOS's Boot Sequence has been set to boot from your disk drive, reboot the computer. It will eventually tell you to press any key to boot from the DVD. When it boots from the Windows disk, you want to set it to do a Custom Install. There should be an option in there to perform a clean install of Windows. Format the Hard Drive first, then create a new partition and install Windows on that drive. If you have more than one HDD, make sure you don't format the wrong one or you will lose all your data.
If you need additional information, return to this page and I'll be happy to assist you further.

How do i format it to how it was when i got it

If you still have the disk for your OS then the process is fairly simple. Insert the disc and reboot the computer. While the computer is booting hold down ESC or possibly F2, F8, or F12. A boot menu should open up before your operating system begins to load and you should pick to boot from CD Drive. When the setup loads, go through the menus until you get to the section of where to install the OS. Delete all the partitions on your computer and then reinstall the OS on the new one. This will delete everything on your laptop and just have a clean copy of your OS.

If you don't have the original CD you can download and burn this onto a CD and boot it from CD. This will securely wipe your hard drive.

Often when turning on my computer it would boot up but then go into the blue screen which indicates that there is problem with hardware or software. (XP) It would then usually reboot without any problem....

just make new format for your hard drives . but before that you need to back up your data on an external hard drive .
after formatting just install fresh copy of your OS.

good luck

My ps3 has a "hard disc been corrupted needs reboot now" press x to reboot. I did all that but wont reboot but say the same thing over again

You have a damaged or corrupted hard drive. try researching for a fix on the internet. If that doesn't work then you'll need to get a new SATA hard drive for it, install it and power the ps3 back up to format the new hard drive and the old one could possibly be used with an enclosure as an external hard drive for your computer.
